JB deserves it this year. JT will get his next year when they repeat.
I think they will repeat but the east won't be as easy
Y'all are ignoring JT guarding the other teams centers all through the playoffs.... talking away the Dallas lob pick n roll game . They were scoring like 30 points a game off of those actions... Guarding bigs takes a lot out of you physically and it can affect your outside shot and if you really look at it the only metric Tatum struggled in was outside shooting beyond The ark if you take that away he was actually pretty efficient
This is why you have to watch the games, not just the highlights and stats. Jaylen Brown guarded Luka full court and was by far the toughest matchup for him. Luka still got his but JB made it tough and wore him out. He was the best player in the first 3 games when the Celtics went up 3-0. Well deserved Finals MVP
For real. I used to fucks with Tatum the most, and I still do, but now Brown is my favorite player on the team. Let’s be honest: Tatum was deliberately stat-padding in garbage time this game. But even if we take out the garbage-time performant and Tatum was still statistically the best player on the team in all categories, Brown was still the one who made the biggest-impact plays in crucial situations, the most often. This is why it would’ve been a travesty if he didn’t win F.M.V.P. A statistical leader is necessary but I respect and value impact players more, and I think awards should, too.
@@AndrewB2189 tatum made gafford and lively pretty much non-existent, and those two were a huge part of the mavericks playoff run.
@@Mikehunt50 Who do you think was switching onto Gafford and Lively when Luka was looking to go at Tatum on a switch? Jaylen Brown. Tatum was good on the bigs too though no doubt
Let’s goooo Celtics!!!!☘️☘️☘️☘️
7:53 - I checked the box score at half time - Peyton Pritchard had 0 minutes and 3 points. LOL.
To be fair first 2 games Tatum was horrific in scoring efficiency, while Brown stayed consistent throughout all 4-5 games
That and he was clamping up on defense the whole series
Huh ? Last 2 game jb ain’t did none
@@shelovestimlive2430 Game 4 was a blowout so nobody did anything, and last game he has 21-6-6, and played great defense on Luka.
@@DBLKaylaman shot 7/23 that ain’t efficient but agree with the rest it was definitely close tbf
You know who had the worst efficency ever as a leading scorer and won the championship in the finals? Kobe. You know who had the second worst? MJ.
4:58 I don't think Porzingus could have torn the rim off in this game, his foot was fucked up and probably shouldn't have even played. But he wanted to be on the floor for his guys, in the clinching game. He'll be out 5-6 months now after having surgery and will miss the beginning of next season. He was incredible in Game 1 though, the best player on the floor.
I know people are excited that the Mavs got Klay, but they lost Josh Green, one of the few Mavericks players that showed up in the Finals occasionally.
Think JB is a better leader than JT, JB is the most consistent player on the team.
Bro you don't even know any of the players. Casual
Bro talks with his teeth
I didn't see Kyrie congratulating the Celtics until now, I forgive him
That’s not Porzingis’ game.
He ain’t Shaq.
he also played with an injury that he has to have surgery to fix.
Jason had better overall numbers but JB was more efficient and he guarded Luka the whole series and was able to slow him down at times. I also look at JB as the guy who started it all with this new team back in 16. He is the senior member of this squad. Horford did sign in 16 as well but he signed as a free agent in PHI and was traded back here so I give old head status to JB
The thing is JT is a team player where JB isn’t. Tatum said multiple times that he wants everyone to eat where brown said he wants to win everything
