Franklin field was built in 1895. I believe it had 6 lanes originally, and they weren't as wide as modern track lanes. They weren't going to knock down the hundred year old brick stands, so they had to put 3 lanes on the inside of the 400m lane to accommodate top tier meets with 9 lanes.
Nothing like setting up the most ideal conditions for him to get the standard. No crowded field, a pacer to keep him on time, the cool of the evening, etc. I hope he does well at the Olympics but I'm forever an Evan Jager fan.
It felt like 90° during this race. 85°, 70° humidity in Philly. “Cool of the evening” lmao. Our system is so broken. Corrigan best Jager at the trials twice, and it wasn’t enough to overcome the points Jager gained from some garbage race two years ago.
OH MY WORD HE DID IT!!!
Byu sending 4 guys to the Olympics is insane
8 and counting if you include alumni
CLUTCH

Good for you James!!! Good luck in Paris!
Everyone is so excited for you Corrigan!!! You did it!!!
Didn't they say Corrigan was a sophomore? He has a bright future. It will be interesting to see him and Rooks in the Olympics.
It was pleasure to start that race last night
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Best of luck in the Olympics!!
Yeah James!!
Way to go!!! 💙💙💙
The final gun 😂😂😂😂
Why for lane 4?
That's how the track there is set up - has been that way for decades
Inside lanes aren’t 400m
I started crying. It was so inspiring.

Isn’t the Penn Relays stadium built the same way? I recall it having inside lanes like this.
CHILLS
Corrigan should have gone to Oregon...because it sounds cool.

That's a good one Corrigan Oregon!

He didn’t have a chance to set up the most ideal conditions, this was really the only meet available
He still beat Jager at trials?
