MVP handed the win to Garry in the 3rd when he stood up and decided to strike for the entertainment value of the fight.
And even though Dana is full of crap a lot of the time, his take on the fight being a draw is pretty accurate. That 3rd round is the exact type of round that you would score 10-10. If I was forced to declare a winner, obviously I'd say Garry but man....nobody won that dang fight

I’ve said it once and I’ve said it millions of times fighters like MVP or Wonderboy they always say they’re gonna stand with them, but even the greatest strikers turn into grappler’s very quick.
True but there is a difference between turning into a grappler after you’ve been punched vs having the game plan be to grapple

I love mvp man but taking a holiday immediately after a loss this is how so many guys in ufc become jobbers man, rest up a couple days and back in the gym man, these fighters get too complacent because they are away from home/ good american weather, materialism/ gambling, partying. These fighters endulge in too many luxuries before they even have a belt and completely waste their potential. Masvidal is prime example
