I wish Mark mentioned the drone failure. It would have been interesting to find out what went wrong.
I think it was becuase the 5.0 was more flat and most people open the box vertically, meaning the drones deployed sideways and fell to the ground and tumbled before activating.
I think the cameras simply could not record the drones. I know theres a small bit where you can see one but idk I just assumed they were out of the line of sight.

The new glitter system is just a massive downgrade. Even if the drones worked, it delivered less glitter, was less reliable, and also gave the thieves free drones.
What are you going to do with a drone without being able to control it? But I agree with the downgrade otherwise.
Yeah honestly dissapointing. The fart spray was upgraded (which wasn't the idea behind the original glitter bomb anyways) but the drones were just unreliable and they should have just made something like XqC suggested - fart spray in multiple directions with ink.
Really dissapointing for the last glitter episode...
No point in "innovating" if it's gonna be the last product.
Also way more dangerous. Imagine blinding a kid with a drone propeller.

You people have no idea how the court systems work in places like California. The police DO arrest them. They write their reports, they do hours of paperwork just to arrest them. And then the next day they get released by a Judge because its "just theft". The police literally can't do their job. Have you seen some of the arrest records in New York City? People have been arrested dozens of times and STILL get released on the street. There's nothing the cops can do so that's why they ignore it. They waste hours of their day arresting someone just for them to be out doing it again the next day because "muh rehabilitation!!". Shit may work in Norway, but it doesn't in the US. Letting someone free with zero consequences does not rehabilitate criminals.

You could totally get in trouble for inking or damaging the thieves property especially because you 'intentionally' set them up. This has happened with decoy bikes that would damage people's property or harm them in some way.
Rationally, you should be able to ink the crap out of people that steal your stuff, but saddly, there's too much sympathy extended to theives by our criminal justice system. I'd imagine in big cities this would be especially true.

I don't really see how, if they come forward with a lawsuit, they are one admitting that they committed theft. Which is a crime, and if you do this in a court, the judge is going to have you arrested. So more likely than not they will never come forward.
Mark Rober can defo afford much better legal representation than some pond scum parcel thief though, so I doubt he's too worried

I can almost vividly see one of these messed up parents calling their kids ungrateful if they try to refuse

The tracking would be so good to use for law enforcement, seeing how they operate, their routes, their conversations etc. But laws enforcement would have to actually care, which especially in the US and in Cali, I highly doubt it.
