Everytime you ask him a question, he starts to answer before you start talking over him.
There were a couple of occasions there where you were both trying to outdo each other and it was 2 people shouting over each other and not a word could be undersood from either of you.

There is no legal way for a foreign national to buy land in Thailand. There are various methods used by foreign nationals such as setting up a company with a Thai national as one of the directors, but this is simply a means to try and circumvent the Thai laws and could result in prosecution and forfeiture of the land. To me, it is simply not worth the risk.

I really like your videos Trevor, ive been watching for years , but i wouldn't believe a word Martin said.
Why?
To be fair I am often asked by real estate companies to work with them, I work with Martin as in all honesty I haven't personally heard of any bad experiences and they are always as professional as possible so based on 11 years living here I feel that's a reasonable stand point
Never been to Thailand except 2 night stay in Bangkok early 80's. I was supposed to return in 1986 election monitor but I was transferred to different State Department region. Then, I know nothing about now, then, the Thai government officials I met highly recommended renting and never owning for any foreigner. I stayed at Siam InterContinental Hotel for $83 USD a night with food package. It was fantastic.

I looked at this development, for living it`s not what I wanted, the pool is tiny and only about 1m deep, there is no gym sauna or other facilities you might want. The price he quoted at 4.4m is without the furniture package which is an addition 1.7m so 6.1m all in.

New normally come with a choice of furniture packs and white goods but extra in some.places. Martin will know best
The unfurnished (from memory) was around 3.3 million baht, the furnished package was another 1.6 million I was told
The list prices are fitted with bathrooms, kitchens and air condition. Loose furniture is extra. Do yourself, or they have furniture packages

Yeah, you really have to call them on this bs like Trev did in this video. I had this problem being shown around Pattaya area by a couple of RE agents. They took me to a bunch of boring condos in Jomtiem (an area I was not interested in at all) probably because that’s where they were getting kick-backs. Finally I had to say, “show me what I want and where I want it.” Very annoying.

Most men planning on retiring from the U.S. to Thailand only have $300,000 to $400,000 usd in cash and about $2,200 to $2,500 a month social security (pension), so we really are not planning spending all our money on a condo. It would be appreciative if you can show us $600 to $700 a month condos, so we have something to look for when we retire in 3 to 5 years sir. Love your channel bro.

Look guys. I'll just ask you to be strong for a moment. And put all that negatively out of your mind. If you have the liquidity perhaps one of the best lifestyles at an affordable price is in your grasp. You don't have to be a millionaire. And anyone will tell you that Thailand is the only place you can find these kinds of places overlooking the sea. There are so many friendly people happy to help guys with this idea, who want more energy from there lifestyle. Keep an open mind. Check out the options.

I looked at this Gardenia complex and was told all the foreigner allocation has now sold. There’s only 54 in total. The condos are amazing value although completely unfurnished. The furnished package is 1.6 million baht extra.
Love the units and size and location ok, but for me the swimming pool wasn’t up to much and lack of sunbathing area for those who like. Also no gym.

Don't forget that Copacabana 2 condo units are being built next year in between jomtein beach and These condos so Gardenia will lose 80% sea view still very good price for size but Martin the Agent should have know this

Condos, you cannot choose your neighbours, communal living, View Tallay 17 floors up , nice big room massive balcony, stunning sea views what could go wrong ? me and a weed man - women seem to synchronise out enjoyment of balconies , i end up retreating inside, I am renting for a few weeks if i owned and weed person also owned then i am in trouble, Rent, keep options open, any problems move on

yes, its nice, yes its big, yes its a good price for the area...........but its a Condo..........there will be zero sound proofing, you will hear people above you, below you, next to you, in the passageways.......horrible. thats why i dont buy condos. if a developer, just for once, built a condo building properly, with sound proofing, I would be more than happy..........but until that day.......its detached houses for me. But nice condo. But hated the brown in the showhouse........looks like the sixties.

Nice big condos. Although I read in these comments that all the units for foreigners are already gone. I would never ever get a Thai citizen (or any citizen in Asia) to put their name on a title of a property you just bought or want to buy. No way. Any day after that they can just claim it’s their house. Etc. I have heard many horror stories about this. I know the other option is to put your name in a Thai company that you have just started then buy it. But still. Get a really good Thai lawyer too to look over all of it. I did this in the Philippines when I bought something and it was fine. Because the lawyer did a great job representing me.
There's an audience for this. A lot of bitter blokes break up with girls and spread rumours. You would have to be a stooge to get swindled.

This condo has been reviewed by a couple of vloggers and one , a friend of mine, said they were selling around 4/day to foreigners and the quota sold quickly. There’s only 54 u it’s in total so only 26 or so to start with.
