You do a great job, very professional. Not coughing, sniffing or talking out of breath, very rare. Enjoyed it.

I sure did enjoy it! Thanks for sharing so much interesting historical information along the way. I don't know that I'd call Jarvis the ugliest street in downtown, but I would definitely agree that it seems to lack cohesion.

Jarvis, University, and Spadina were once broad, tree-lined avenues. Then, all three were turned into pure asphalt car sewers -- Spadina was more useful to the local population than the others because, uniquely, it had no major roadway dumping traffic into its northern maw. The Spadina Expressway (now, the Alien Road), was designed to "fix" that and make it just like the other two.

I worked in the Jarvis St. Sears Head Office Building - in the Furniture Buying department and then up in Catalogue Copywriting - 1978 into the early 80s. I met my husband there.

Hey Johnny, my 5 seconds of fame has arrived. I unexpectedly made an appearance in your video at the 21:17 mark. I am the guy crossing the street in the red hat. I have been watching your videos since the start of the pandemic (2020). I was crossing the street and first noticed the “yellow toque”, then the camera and then I recognized it was you. 😂

Fond memories though, home of our office for the Ontaro (Lawn) Tennis Association at 559 (Sport Ontario) and the original Head Office of Pizza Pizza. Can't forget the Keg Mansion at 515!

Geez Johnny, if I was in the neighborhood of St Lawrence market and wanted to eat, I would have headed straight into the market to the Carousel bakery on the upper level, or possibly one of the smaller vendors inside.👍

I may be wrong, but believe those missing trees on Bloor E at Yonge had to be removed when there were regular protests happening there a month or so ago (and still some weekends now) - the Israeli Consulate is in that building.
Not sure if they were removed due to damage, or to prevent people from climbing them.

Nice video. Some sections are ugly, but some beautiful architecture on this street. How about walk down the prettiest street in the city. ( In your opinion.)

That’s not as ugly as you labelled it, but the roads are too wide and so are the sidewalks - especially for the lack of foot traffic. Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed this walk - you’re a great historian and travel guide. Cheers!
