- Anonsurf will anonymize the entire system under TOR using IPTables. It will also allow you to start and stop i2p as well.
Und3rf10w forked ParrotSec’s git and made a version for Kali Linux which is very easy and straight forward to install. His repo contains the sources of both the anonsurf and pandora packages from ParrotSec combined into one. Und3rf10w also made some small modifications to the DNS servers to use of Private Internet Access (instead of using FrozenDNS) and added some fixes for users who don’t use the resolvconf application. He also removed some functionality such as the GUI and IceWeasel/Firefox in RAM. There’s a installer script which makes it really easy to install it. You can review the installer script to find out more. This forked version should now work with any Debian or Ubuntu system, but this has only been tested to work on a kali-rolling amd64 system. I am also using the same system but users are advised to test and verify it in their own distro. If it works, then you will be able to hide your IP and gain anonymity as long you’re not signed into any website such as Google, Yahoo etc. I wrote a nice long article comparing different methods i.e. TOR vs VPN vs Proxy on top of each other.

For anyone trying to be anonymous, firefox sells your information so even if you use anonsurf and have no dns leaks, if you dont have firefox configured to not sell your info it will

Really like the videos you have done on using Tor, Proxychains and DNS changes to maintain anonymity online. Have you ever done a video that covers how to eliminate IPv6 leaking...? I have still run into issues with that while using the methods you have described in this and previous videos. With that still showing...I feel you still have some traces back to you...am I wrong?

Those who having could not resolve problem.Problem is with time zone.Just copy paste these codes in terminal
sudo apt-get install ntpdate

anonsurf stop
service tor stop

after typing "sudo apt-get install ntpdate" it's saying 'Failed to fetch http.kali/pool/main/n/ntp/ntpdate_4.23........." Temporary failure resolving http.kali.org

Would anonsurf or proxychains have any advantages/disadvantages over each other, or do they do the same thing?
Proxy chains os more for network traffic like tcp udp and other protocols while anonsurf is more for browsing and manually assessing a web page though that's kinda obsolete due to the war in Ukraine

@@happyman6161 why would you want to run tor browser with proxychains? tor browser already runs series of proxies before connecting to any website and additionally on tor browser, each tab can have a different identity.

If you restart the tor service (service tor restart) and then type in anonsurf myip and an IP comes up it should work.
Dont forget to disable webrtc that leaks your actual ip by default and test for dns leaks

I am having several issues with setting up proxy-chains
1. cant locate proxy chains : /var/lib/plocate/plocate.db: No such file or directory
I see them in the files but they wont pull up
tried uninstalling and reinstalling
tried while to tor is active and updated
2. Whenever i add proxies it still shows as my IP and not the proxies.
3.Pretty much cant anonymize my self at all not VPN proxy DNS nothing

proxychains curl ipinfo.io
or else you WILL NOT go through proxy
Anonsurf:
- Once run, everything will go through proxy
- No need to open firefox through command line

This has come up after I reinstalled kali linux on my laptop then tried to load anonsurf following your instructions in your video. It is weird. I also noticed that my Pure VPN has dropped out and won't let me log in because it keeps giving me an error message first :that I have no internet connection (which I have) then the next error message is that my password and my user name is incorrect. You should use sudo command
That is :
'sudo ./installer.sh'
Or you may first change your bash as root i.e. by 'sudo bash'
after running command you will be asked for sudo password i.e. your username password(understand as lockscreen password)
