      Tennis is not meant for India to be honest - its too expensive. Should focus on football or general athletics. Sania Mirza could not popularize it.

    let's go bro, first round in Indian Wells, second round in Monte Carlo so far, will be deep in the GSs soon!! What a year for Sumit, hope it gives inspiration to the Indian Tennis team, management and sports authority/ministry. Hope Indian govt pour more resources into Tennis now. They have a great tennis legacy, now time to review the culture of this great sport in a great country.

      @@takagifukugiflathead Agassi is half Iranian, Sampras is part Greek, Chang is a Chinese American and not sure which Williams you’re referring to but no, Serena Williams and Venus parents aren’t from Ghana. They’re from South Central Los Angeles. That would make them American.

His cousin married to Dutch american Alison Riske , he is in relationship with a latina , he was borned and breed in US ... I have never heard of any Chinese american to take inspiration on Li Na or Any chinese / taiwanese on Chang , or any Japanese american on Nishikori or Any japanese on Collin Morikawa ...

      ​​@@manojsamal3430no, we lost the hosting rights to hongkong due to financial/ sponsons issues and less audience engagement issues.....now we are left with nothing, that is just killing indian tennis day by day....on the other hand china has two ATP 250 , one ATP 500 and even ATP 1000 masters and we have nothing....we have to raise issues and ask All india tennis Association (AITA), what's their plan to get back ATP Tours on twitter and other platforms...otherwise this beautiful sport can be destroed in india even after such good talents ...

      @@manojsamal3430 no there is no ATP tour now in india, the last one has been withdrawn and shifted to Hong Kong due to financial/sponsors and less audience engagement issues....China has two ATP 250, one ATP 500 and one ATP 1000 masters and we have nothing...we should ask to (AITA) what's their plan to get all ATP tours back to India.... otherwise Indian Tennis 🎾 will also get destroyed

    If he still doesn’t have a team why on earth isn’t the Indian Tennis Association providing him with all the assistance he needs, a coach etc etc. This is a great chance to get India on the tennis map.

    Wish sumit got deeper in tournaments i remember him taking the first set from federer a few years back in one of the majors. He had defeated bublik and today lost to rune in 3 obviously he has potential but lacks consistency!! Watching his game i sometimes feel he rushes through points i really hope he continues to improve and achieve better results in future 😊

    Im often happy when lower ranked players win cause they also are in need of money. With his recent successes Nagal should be a little bit out of trouble financially. Thats basically the thing, you dont win much on the challenger tour. You need to crack the top 120/100 to have a chance entering ATP tournaments without always have to play qualy.

    I hope India has courts, it’s interesting to know that he lived in Canada and Germany for many years, which I’m sure their better infrastructure allowed him to pursue tennis. Now India will own him and give him the love but it would be nice if a lot more of Indian players are made in India like the Rohan bopanna mahesh bhupathi Leander paes and Sania Mirza

    India deserves a tennis champion. I thought it was going to be Somdev Devvarman, especially after he beat John Isner in the NCAA Finals. Hopefully Nagal fills the gap. Sadly even the great Indian doubles champions are retired or near retirement including Paes, Bhupathi, Bopanna.
