Yesterday I heard Dream Theater, the day before yesterday Pink Floyd, both acclaimed and recognized landmarks in rock music history. Today I listen to Aviator and I am amazed that my heart had to take a bigger number of hits than in the last two days. Maybe that's why music will forever remain a mystery.

I just noticed that the singer Issa covered "Can't Stop" on one of her CDs in the last few years.. and Aviator did record a second album apparently. Officially unreleased but I just found it. Sometimes you have to dig a bit. Also another Rock Candy artist, Tane Cain, released a second album in 1985 which sadly wasn't officially released. I'd say it's as good as the first one
..so I just listened to the Aviator second album. What blew me away is that the song Unchained was recorded (not sure if she was the first one to record it, but surely before Aviator) by Tane Cain on her unreleased second album..hows that for an insane coincidence

Yes, somewhere between Hair Metal (Dokken) and AOR (Foreigner). I don't like the term Hair Metal, because it doesn't do justice to some incredibly talented bands. Back then everyone had high hair. From Richard Marx and Rick Springfield to Metallica and Megadeth. I prefer the term Heavy Rock for bands like Ratt, Dokken, Van Halen, Europe, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake, Winger...

Actually, I think the first respondent to your comment is getting confused with an earlier (British) band, also named "Aviator," founded by Lancaster and Bunker.
The band Aviator featured on this album (released in 1986) is a New Jersey-based group, whose members consisted of the following:
Ernie White - Lead vocals, guitars
      Richie Cerniglia - Guitars
      Steve Vitale - Bass
      Michael Ricciardella - Drums, vocals
A guy named Brian Leahy provided keyboards and additional vocals on the album, and according to some information on the web, he was actually considered a member of the band at one point.

Trenton hair rock. Shame they got no recognition, it's way better than Winger and Warrant. Huh huh they suck. Ernie White is a great musician. Rocks Trenton proud.

In my opinion this album is not even close to the masterpiece that is put on it. It's a good record. I agree. You can give it a couple of turns. But there is a lot of aor that eats it with potatoes. In addition, the voice register is very particular and the throat clearing (voice snoring) in my opinion does not look good in the verses here throughout the entire album. To have melodic touches, the album is completely synthetic guitar. The solos aren't bad but sometimes they are incoherent. The album improves a bit from come back. I've listened to a lot of music and you don't miss much. Groups like this remind me of lepard, they put hysteria and pyromania as musical jewels and it's a lie. During the recordings there are 2 - 3 - 4 good songs and the rest are very mehhh...

Better check your ears - this is a Top 10 AOR classic and close to a 10/10.

@@michaelschmidt9708 you are the one with no ears. I have been listening to aor for 37 years, I have music in this vein that you will not hear in your life. I assure you that this work is very normal and it only improves a little bit on side B. Another story is that you like the voice but musically it is nothing special, there are dozens and dozens of records that leave this one behind floor. you lack a lot of aor i sure you.
