Will, your leg exercises help me walk better after having had three leg surgeries, sciatica with spinal surgery, and Guillain-Barré syndrome. You explain things so well, and I really understand what the problems are and can address them, especially when it comes to stiff, locked hips. Your explanation of why we tend to lean forward while walking was a revelation. I am 70 by the way. You are a treasure!

Well! I am so pleased with myself. Have been doing Will's exercises for a few weeks now especially the knee and help with walking. Today l have walked for a whole hour, something lve not managed for a long time. And...not feeling any discomfort 6 hours later. Chuffed to bits. Hopefully another walk tomorrow.

Oh my gosh! I have almost no dorsiflexion in my right foot and very little in my left! Plenty of plantar flexion in both. In march of this year, I started to stumble a lot. Since then I've taken to using a cane because I have become unstable when I walk, I shuffle my feet. I walk stiff, swaying from side to side. I know I'm doing it, but I can't seem to stop/fix it. Also I'm moving slow, I can't seem to make myself move faster. I'm a 61 year old female with bad knees that I take tylenol (paracetamol) twice a day. I found this channel in march, when searching about moving better after 50. My normal semi-annual check up is in July, so I'm saving these videos to show my doctor and discuss some of these exercises. Great channel, by the way! ❤😁👍

This couldn’t have come at a better time as I’m 1 week out of my walking boot and beginning to rehab back to normal walking. Everything changed, back muscles, glutes, balance, range of walking vision, ankle and toe mobility. I’m definitely putting these exercises into practice.

Oh yes ... all parts of legs + hips buzzing with circulation = feels good! - annoyingly, I realised this week(whilst walking daily 30+min circuit with my son) how I have to b more aware of my walking movements/feet placement than I needed to b when I was younger... I blame it on the broken/uneven pathways(contributes, I'm sure) ... but it's definitely a good idea to keep muscles in legs strong. Thanks for this.

I have ankle pain the comes and goes. Walking distance is not doable and I used to do 3 miles a day when I had dogs. Because of intermittent left knee pain from old injury and both ankles sprained a couple of time, especially the left ankle, It can immobilize me and steps can be hard but I push my way through. The more stairs I climb, it seems to help. I have been doing an exercise you showed about a week ago concerning standing on your toes, facing a wall or chair and going as high as you can and holding to feel some burn in the calf muscles. It is helping me. I could barely lift my heels and now I can get close to 2 inches of lift. My big toe on my right foot is stiff as a board and the joint is enlarged. I cannot bent my toe up with muscles nor using fingers to lift it to extend it. I just wanted to let you know that the toe raises are helping me and adding these 4 exercises to the toe raises is going to become a daily routine. Walking is vital. Inclines can be hard to navigate with ankle pain. Thank you. If I do not improve, I will seek out a specialist.

Great video. Thank you again. Love that you explain the exercise well and the benefits from doing them. One question I have is that due to a neurological condition I cannot lift my leg very high on one leg and cannot move my toes. I am hoping that doing the exercise for the big toe and also the other toes may help, as well as practicing the skateboard exercise, even if I cannot perform it very well, or for too long. If you have exercises to help people who have some kind of neurological condition to get some movement back that would be awesome 😊.
Was a little peeved that very soon after purchasing your book you brought out an extended version.

I have put a daily program together using your exercises. What I was wondering is why in this video you say do the exercise a few times a day… example the calf stretch and in an other video “The Best Way to Improve Flexibility” you say leave 48 hours between the exercises. I’ve just ordered your book so maybe I will find the answer in it. Thanks.

Hello, you probably have shin splints from doing too many ankle raises (and/or doing them too fast). Shin splints aren't fatal (Google them) and they will go away eventually. Try performing less ankle raises WHEN you feel better, and more slowly, too.😸
