I actually go above recommended for swath testing. Normally 4-5oz to a gal. You want it dark that way you can pick up the fines. It doesn't stain the machine or tank, your hands and clothing no promises. Lol. But it does wash out/off after a little time.

Any good blue dye works. We're running turf Trax blue from Nutrien with great results!

Correct, it's like food dye and after a couple rinses you are set. Just be careful on your hands or you'll look a like a Smurf haha!
