The fact that this shows how scary suicide can be. The person committing the act is scared, often times giving themselves reason to stop. After many attempt, you get tired and nervous. The attempts just become another reason for you to die. Eventually, people give up- which is sad. This shows how scared she was- to how much she didn't care.
The meaning of this song is actually so deep. It's so sad. It seems it's her continuously talking herself out of jumping until she gave up on finding reasons to not jump. Jeez it sounds so happy yet it's so sad.
I was wishing this was the ending: Wait what did I just hear? I knew I was all alone here, but at the moment someone screamed Something that I did not believe. "Hey, Don't do it please..."
Well, technically, this does happened and it's pretty complex how it does so allow me to explain. The entire album is a collection of stories about a teenage girl who sits back and watches a group of people her age live out their lives. One person has a crush on a teacher, one has amnesia and can't remember her loved ones, one digs in the trash I think? Idk Japan is weird, man. To put it in perspective, it's kind of in the same vein as Green Day's "American Idiot" album is a storyline told over the course of a few songs, telling the cultural zeitgeist of the era through the fictional character "Jesus of Suburbia." In this, the teenage girl doesn't want to interfere in the lives of the others so she sits back and watches, recording all of their actions in her diary, but as she goes about watching them she slowly becomes lonely and wants to have friends of her. One of these songs is "My R" (I think it's the second to last one in the album) and in it, she observes a small girl in a yellow cardigan going up to the rooftop and talking to herself every day. The final song in the album is called "Diary of the Underage Observation" and it has references to every other song in the album at one point or another through lyrics close to or exactly the ones in other songs. At the end, she sees the sad, small girl in the yellow cardigan walking down a street, head hung in sadness. She sees her again up on the roof, talking to herself as usual. Deciding she wants to make a friend and talk to this girl, she thinks "I'll say something to her today/Something that I don't even really think" and arrives on the rooftop in time. So yeah, My R girl survives. The last song kinda kills the "Did She? Didn't She?" question the original song laid out, especially since the girl didn't take her shoes off which hints at "Didn't" but it still wraps it up with a nice little bow to make people feel better.
before yall question why the girl (singing) mentions taking off her shoes before jumping: in japan, a person who is about to commit suicide takes off their shoes and leaves them somewhere; like if it's self-hanging in a room, the shoes are left near the doorway. so if you're in japan and see a pair of shoes near a dead body without any on, that person had possibly killed themselves.
So guys I basically believe that each day she was resisting herself from jumping off the roof and each day she pictures something about her (being small, braids, yellow cardigan) but one day she couldn't resist and jumped off the roof
woah that lil twist at the end actually really surprised me though I was wondering why so many different people were trying to commit in the same spot but I didn't question it too much wowie that was honestly amazing your art really can tell a story so beautifully especially paired with music like this
Sarah Studios It's all her, and they were times when she was about to jump and she talked herself out of it. Then one day she just couldn't find any reason to not jump, so she eventually did.
woah that lil twist at the end actually really surprised me though I was wondering why so many different people were trying to commit in the same spot but I didn't question it too much wowie that was honestly amazing your art really can tell a story so beautifully especially paired with music like this 💛
The art was so beautiful and fit the song so amazingly. I've been feeling down and even though this song is kinda sad, the dinner line and scene in this song cheered me up...
literally just found your channel 5 minutes ago. watched your amazing Yo Girl Heathers Animatic and had to see your other content and this said uploaded 1 minute ago. Great job on this and everything! I adore your art style!
Samster Yeah, it's evident when she describe the three girls with being short, having braids, and yellow cardigan. She at the end of the song took off her own yellow cardigan, braids, and described herself as short. She basically talked herself out of suicide by saying there's was more to look forward to or it was just a bad day. But couldn't find another reason to live at the end
Oh I thought it was gonna be really sweet about saving people from suicide and then the end when it was revealed that she was telling herself not to jump the whole time and AUSKKDOS
woAH RACHIE VOCALOID ANIMATIC-- LOVE, THANKS, I CANT TYPE IN COMPLETE SENTENCES RIGHT NOW ((your heathers animatics are also amazing aaa)) -i really like this even if it is old art uwu-
Ahhhh. This makes me so happy. I love Rachie, and this song. My favorite song she's overed is 1/6 out of this gravity. Anyway, this is beautiful, good taste
Ariana Skylight I think that she's trying to convince herself that her family loves her and cares about her, but later realizes, as they get more abusive, that she can't think of a reason not to jump
I like how at the end she couldn't do anything to stop the girl except try to make her go away. It shows that she doesn't know how to solve the problems within herself by herself because no one else is there for her- I mean that's just my opinion ^w^ Its a very nice animatic if I do say so!
Okay so... each of the girls she "saved" were actually different visions of herself, each dealing with one of her problems. She would go up each day and cycle through her problems, each day stopping herself from jumping if the problem was not worth killing herself over. But finally she got to the *real* heart of things. She finally confronted the thing that first lead her up to the roof, as opposed to those things that kept her distracted when she was up there. She had to confront herself, and she couldn't convince herself that she was worth not jumping. :(
This song really gets me both ways that you can interpret it, those being completely different people or her personalities, because I can relate to both
Tiny Fang well technically "all the other girls" were just the same person repeatedly talking themselves out of jumping so yea they turned and walked away until she was unable to give excuses and just.. well jumped... I hope that made sense,,,
This song is truely beautiful. It gives everyone who has a problem within their lives to live whether its you have a family, you have friends, or someone loves you. This has a deeper meaning then i can comprehend. All of the girls have the same problems as the one who died. She was bullied, rejected, and self harmed at home. But everyday she stopped herself until the end of the week. And if you feel like this girl... Please Don't it... I care for you and understand your pain in ways you don't know..
So sad, the fact she’s trying to convince herself every time that it can be positive it’s not as bad as it could be, I have never understood this song before and. Wow
Can we just talk about this part: "Taking off my yellow cardigan, Watching my braids all come undone, This petite girl short as can be, Is gonna jump now and be free." The "girls" she all gave a description about was one had a yellow cardigan, one had braided hair, and one was a petite girl short as can be. And she told those "girls" that it wasn't worth it, so she eventually talked them out about it. So she was just talking about her self! All those girls were just different personalities of her and she talked herself out of jumping! This verse always sends shivers down my spine and ahh. This is why I love this song

P sure its meant to signify not bringing filth into the afterlife, like what you do when you enter a home
For anyone who is wondering who the artist is and want to support the person who sung it, the link is in the description.

woah that lil twist at the end actually really surprised me though I was wondering why so many different people were trying to commit in the same spot but I didn't question it too much wowie that was honestly amazing your art really can tell a story so beautifully especially paired with music like this
She's talking to herself. Each day she figures out another reason not the jump until one day she can't think of anything and does.
We're all those girls her personalities?
Sarah Studios It's all her, and they were times when she was about to jump and she talked herself out of it. Then one day she just couldn't find any reason to not jump, so she eventually did.
Thanks!
Wait that is super sad
Yes basically
Sarah Studios

woah that lil twist at the end actually really surprised me though I was wondering why so many different people were trying to commit in the same spot but I didn't question it too much wowie that was honestly amazing your art really can tell a story so beautifully especially paired with music like this 💛

Oh I thought it was gonna be really sweet about saving people from suicide and then the end when it was revealed that she was telling herself not to jump the whole time and AUSKKDOS

Ah i love this so much, do you mind if i can use this video to color it in and animate it a little? ill give you full credit ;w;
This is my favorite animation of it so far, thank you your artwork is amazing.
thank you for showing me this song tbh
I'm confused bc she told one of the versions of herself at their is food at home? But they are both her so later does she get abused at home?
maybe she was abusing herself??? 0~0
Ariana Skylight I think that she's trying to convince herself that her family loves her and cares about her, but later realizes, as they get more abusive, that she can't think of a reason not to jump
"The scars that grow Everytime I go home" Is a reference to her cutting herself.
maybe there time laps??
like each time she goes it's more in the future (or closer to her present)
I love the style of you're drawings.
The lyrics are so self centred lmao
I've been waiting forever for this
I like how at the end she couldn't do anything to stop the girl except try to make her go away. It shows that she doesn't know how to solve the problems within herself by herself because no one else is there for her- I mean that's just my opinion ^w^ Its a very nice animatic if I do say so!
I had already seen many other animations but I still cry everytime once again
Omg your style is beautiful. It fits the song so perfectly.
I love this so much. Thank you for making it! I hope you don't do anything bad. :3

I love this song and with this animation!
❤ this. Pls keep finishing it
I CAME AS SOON AS I HEARD, BISHES
Did all of the people who got there before her turn and jump or turn and leave, I can't tell for some of them?
Tiny Fang well technically "all the other girls" were just the same person repeatedly talking themselves out of jumping so yea they turned and walked away until she was unable to give excuses and just.. well jumped... I hope that made sense,,,
kuma chii it did, thanks, I kinda only suspected the last girl was her but as I rewatch it I can tell what you mean
This song is truely beautiful. It gives everyone who has a problem within their lives to live whether its you have a family, you have friends, or someone loves you. Can we just talk about this part:
"Taking off my yellow cardigan,
Watching my braids all come undone,
This petite girl short as can be,
Is gonna jump now and be free."
The "girls" she all gave a description about was one had a yellow cardigan, one had braided hair, and one was a petite girl short as can be.
And she told those "girls" that it wasn't worth it, so she eventually talked them out about it.
So she was just talking about her self! All those girls were just different personalities of her and she talked herself out of jumping! This verse always sends shivers down my spine and ahh. This is why I love this song

the ending hit my feels like a truck :'(
hello! i just want to say that the original producer was Kurage-P, and the original song is in Japanese, sung by Hatsune Miku (和田たけあき(くらげP) -- the name of his channel! C:
We're just a bunch of suicidal kids telling other suicidal kids that suicides not the answer
Years later and I'm still jamming to this song 💕 except crying while singing lol
I get what this is about after watching it so many times this is about her and each of the students that she met were a piece of her and what was going on in her life. ( and I just realised that now)
OH THE DIFFERENT PEOPLE WERE HER THOUGHTS
OMG THIS IS AMAZING
ahhh that ending got me
*FA-BU-LOUS* 👌👌👌👌👌👍👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍
hiya! great animatic! could i ask what canvas dimensions u used? :0
I'M NOT C-CRYING!!....Y-YOU'RE CRYING!
