What do you think, does the Horizon stand out in this busy ebike segment? Would you consider it even with its quirks?

I have the Heybike Tyson and love it. When I first received the bike there was an issue with the rear hub motor as it was making a weird sound. I took it to a local bike shop and filmed the Technician evaluating it. I sent the video to their support and they immediately sent me a new controller and rear wheel with hub. The local shop replaced it and that fixed the issue. I then asked heybjke for a refund for the $125 or so I spent with the local bike shop and they credited my credit card that amount. I was super impressed with their support and I've had no issues since. Because they are in China, it could take 24-48 hours to get a response. Their bikes are now being sold in a lot of local shops, so it may be worth it to buy it locally if you can

Yes this is a great company they make really high-quality bikes. I have the same one. I have limited addition number 18 and so far I haven’t had any problems out of it very fast bike. My brakes seem to work fine no issues but yes this is a Company you need to keep continuing business with

They need to upgrade that ugly black and white display. C'mon this is 2024 not 1924.

It was something we picked up from community, and it has been a game changer.

Little more adjustability in the reach to bars would be nice.. Say 5-6 more ah in the battery. But pretty cool bike overall. Maybe aftermarket has some BMX bars and adjustable angle stem piece.. Nice review!👌

I have a CityScape and have enjoyed an issue free year. When I had technical questions customer support answered but there is a built in delay because their support is overseas based. I am looking at a Heybike Horizon. I will likely purchase because I want a more powerful motor and full suspension.

Please do a review on their Ranger S model, I'm really interested in that one in particular but I haven't seen a good review on it yet

Great looking bike i just received mine today #162 and assembled it, got the rear wheel powered up and pulled the rear brake and got code 25 brake error. The manual says to contact Heybike for troubleshooting tips so i did. Did you experience any problems once you assembled yours ?

Question for you please, Are the tires exactly 4” wide or 3 1/2” wide when you measure carefully with a ruler ??

Did the weight that you stated in this video include the battery or just the bike?

Let's say I want to adjust the speed limit to 20 and the person riding it doesn't have the app. Do the settings reset if the app is not connected? Or will it default to the latest app settings next time it is turned on?

Wow very scary to have a brake failure on a Brand New bike, and just as concerning is Hey Bikes response! They should have jumped right on this …… unfortunately what does this tell us about the company.. This is a design concern with folding bikes and hydraulic brakes but at this weight and the power and speeds this bike is capable of you pretty much need hydraulic brakes….. Glad you got home safe!

Very odd tire size 22X4. Try and find this tire size, it can be difficult.

I don't have one but it is among my group of 4 that I see as the final group to choose from. Detractors: cheap batteries/small AH, no rear suspension, poorly/weak designed back deck, wire-spokes, 160mm rotors, 48T chain ring, not folding. Deal-makers: Samsung or LG batteries/20AH, double-crown front suspension, good rear suspension, sturdy back deck, alloy spokes, 180mm but best yet 203mm rotors, 52T chain ring, folding. Try and find an e-bike that has it all. Does one exist? The weak engineering choices make me disgusted, for example, Burchda r5 pro uses 160MM rotors and or 48T chain-ring (they don't specify so it looks cheap to me).
Give Horizon 26-inch wheels, 203mm rotors, alloy spokes, 52T chain-ring, ADVERTIZE IT AS SUCH, and see what happens. Just don't degrade anything else when you do these upgrades. Also, there is a new design for regenerative planetary motors - this will become a standard offering but for a higher cost (new patent and rich boys in the making!).

Would you be able to fit a child seat on the back

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  10 месяцев назад

Possibly. The rack can handle it. I would just be worried about having a childs foot or legs near the drivetrain or motor, without a cover.

I actually like the plastic fenders. I think metal fenders are dumb. Why would anyone want metal fenders that could bend and dent?
