    Tried Halo Infinite with AFMF enabled, and it actually made me sick. I do not recommend using it with FPS’s. First time I ever got motion sick while playing a game. 😅

      That is weird it doesn't have wide changing fps that would cause that least not on my PC
      You don't notice those drops when you move fast co's it happens really fast.
      I guess it depends on youre hardware. But you need a 60 fps base FPS as well mate for it to be smooth. or you might get away with 55 but if you are trying to get 30 or 40 fps to double with AFMf you are gonna have a shi**y experience and I think that is where a lot of the negativity around AFMF stems from. People just not using it right. Because in my Vids on my channel you could see it works really well in games like Jedi survivor where i was able to max out settings and Rt at 4k 120 fps smoothness. and the minor drops when you move the camera fast are not noticeable. To me anyway. It's amazing tech when used right.

    I think AFMF is a game changer. When plugged in with the official charger at 30watts, playing Cyberpunk and getting around 100 fps and its so playable, it's changed the entire gameplay with the fluid frames. I tested it with The Witcher, Fallout 4 and Armored Core 6 and I've seen excellent results with over 100 fps on all games.

      @user-hq7js2wf7h exactly people always say there’s no point of having a handheld if it’s gonna be on the charger but if you’re just gonna sit in one place the whole time might as well have it on the charger

    I installed the 8840u drivers and maximum performance, with lossless scaling I generate double the fps in a super faithful manner, with fs3 it has impressive fluidity, no graphic artifacts, a slight input lag not even visible to the naked eye. I also tried the 7840u drivers but by trying the 8840u ones you get performances that I honestly never expected on rogally. try these drivers on your channel, no one in the world has brought the 8840u drivers to rog ally yet. last note, the afmf with 8840u works much better compared to the basic version and 7840u. but still it works much, much better lossless scalling. afmf needs optimization, it worsens performance even if the base fps goes to 60. I'm speaking on rog ally obviously

      I didn't even know it was possible to install the 8840u drivers on the ROG Ally honestly, shouldn't that cause any problems???

      theres mods that fix this or you can use dxvk. google your issue and you should find more info on what im talking about. easy fix though. but asus is aware. so they are working on it if you don't want to fix it yourself.

    I played helldiver 2 and was getting 35fps without afmf and getting around 60-70fps enabled but it still felt like I was playing in 35fps. It feels really choppy most of the time, I didn’t have a good time at all, therefore I don’t recommend it for now.

  • @Steelninja77
    @Steelninja77 5 месяцев назад

    No it works great on my PC made jedi survivor playable at 4k epic settings with Epic RT at mostly 120 fps with drops on fast movement that you don't even notice it hap[pens so fast. It just feels like a close to a 120 fps experience. and looks awesome. But yeah on ROG ally it's hit and miss. works sometimes pretty well. but I had it long before the new update on my ROG ally so had time to tinker with it I forget what game i liked using it in. might have been starfield pre FSR3.

    In case people didn't know your visual cortex does this automatically for free. . Just like your brain automatically removes the bound of the image as you walk.
    This is how gamers survived in the early years on consoles playing on a CRT TV.

    I know Alan wake 2 is barely playable. But I’ve had an amazing time at 15w. I was hoping to get closer to a smooth 60fps with afmf, and it actually plays much worse. I’ll stick with my 30-ish fps for now.

  • @marios.2975
    @marios.2975 5 месяцев назад

    I‘m playing Vampy currently which is a DX11, UE4 game. It’s not well optimized pushing only 40-50fps at 30W but only drawing 18W max cause it’s not using all resources at hand. With AFMF it’s using 22-25W and giving an average of 90-100fps. Input lag not really feeling it. But it’s stuttering more than just using AMD chill and limiting to 40fps. FreeSync low framerate compensation works better I think.

  • @skatermark420
    @skatermark420 5 месяцев назад

    the real FPS needs to stay above 30fps at all times or it will not run right. You can just turn your game to max and turn it on for amazing fake frames. I find the sweet spot is to lock fps at 45 then turn it on.

      what is your base fps though? it needs 60 or you can get away with 55. any lower and you will get a crappy experience. I use it on my highish end PC a ryzen 9 5900x and Rx 6800 and it runs sweet.

  • @RubenNeves22

    Strange my experience with Fluid Motions it's pretty good, they need to work on stability in my opinion a few frame drops here and there but everything runs above 120fps sometimes higher even at 900p mid-high settings, even in the heavier titles like tlou part 1 i get around 80fps sometimes higher, its kinda crazy

  • @micahrobertson37
    @micahrobertson37 5 месяцев назад

    Any sort of movement on screen, like from turning around, drops the FPS significantly, many times over 100%, so splitting it in half. This is because there isn’t any pattern consistency for AFMF to draw from. Not worth it, for any game that I’ve tested, IMO. Too inconsistent.
