    A very useful update. It's got me thinking about the WPL / EazyRc axle swapping.....🙄

      @antrc  2 года назад +1

      Yeah I considered that but my WPL Gaz axles are a fair bit wider than these, and I took the idea no further. Maybe you come up with some idea tho? A

      @@antrc I'll admit I was thinking on the other side of the fence. I was looking for a slimmer axle for the WPL chassis. The EZRC/FMS etc. looks just the part. So probably no use to your project at all. 🙄. Just got to find somewhere to get the axles now.

      Ahhhh yes I see! Parts? Good luck with that. I've seen none. Hopefully these brands will produce catalogues of parts soon. You'd think they would.

    RC4WD is a mess to be fair. Their rubber is very good, but, as you said, so soft it doesn't provide any support. You can compensate with hard foam (dual stage if you want to be fancy), and then they work incredibly well. Except the stock foam they provide with the tires are way too soft. I've got some for my TRX4 and it pretty much runs on the rims! I wonder if they even ever tried them, RC4WD cars are super heavy, they would have exactly the same problem. Anyway, with better foam they work like a charm, but it's going to be challenge to find foam for 1/18th scale I guess ;)

      Hey bud, how are you! Their rubber is good, but so are my prolines yet I haven't torn prolines in ages. The Mog has pummelled its Grunts with no ripping. I like the 18th rubber from RC4WD but then again there aren't many branded options out there yet esp not to the UK.
      Proline seem able to make grippy tyres which are strong, and it's the latter RC4WD seem to fail on.
      They're a very 'interesting' business.....

      @@antrc Not too bad, I was very busy recently, am catching up with all the videos I missed.
      Yes RC4WD has a very interesting business indeed. Also all of their rims will not fit third party tires most of the time, as RC4WD tires use a custom ring for the bead lock. In fact they also sell a different ring for Pro Line tires. It's a faff and an half

      I hear ya. Same applies to their 18ths it seems..... And their truck line up? Why so tall and over sprung? Oi Oi premium money, not entirely premium product. 🤔

      @@antrc Totally agree. I would buy CrossRC all day rather than RC4WD. Heck I would even buy a hard shell from Bangood or a lexan body RC car rather than an RC4WD. Speaking of which: the Abisma Sherpa is absolutely lovely. It's pretty much as good as a TRX4, but comes with some goodies (lights, very good 550 motor) out of the box. The only thing I changed is the ESC because it's a bit noisy, so I put an HW 1080 and a cheap winch in it. Amazing. It has magnetic posts out of the box, and it should be easy enough to find an hard body for it if I so desire. But the stock body looks really good I have to say.

      @@chiccorocker it looked very impressive when launched. Tell you what, the FTX/RGT Tracker is also impressive - pretty much a straight clone of a TRX4 and a 324mm wheelbase for half the price. All really make 'some companies' look a tad lazy and greedy....
