I just love Downton Abbey. I have this movie and the whole series, and I re-watch it all many times. it's amazing, and it's like being with an old friend. It's extra special now, and we will miss the incredible Maggie Smith. No matter how many times I watch Mosely doing his thing in the dining room, I laugh.
Idk why but that face he makes when Mrs Hughes says “walk into that room with your head held high” is sooo funny to me 😂 Carson’s facial expressions are just so amusing
Yes, I agree. It was an unnecessary and cringey scene. It didn't add anything, and demeaned a beloved character for cheap laughs from insensitive people who like "cringe humor". It is irrelevant whether or not the actor liked it. Actors always want more lines and attention, regardless of the quality of it, and often regardless of whether it detracts or adds to the character or storyline. This scene did not help anything or anyone.

@@amethystanne4586 I agree with you about the wedding. Too many recent weddings have been glossed over. Downton needs to be a series again. It simply doesn't work as well as a series of movies.
