Hello, Jeff. I am back on this video. I just wanted to provide an update on how my job search has gone since I started watching your video. Every time I want to make an application I always come to this video. I subscribed to your channel about three weeks ago. I realised how much my previous applications had lacked. After watching this video and starting to submit my applications, I noticed that my resumes had improved significantly, and I was now being invited to one interview after another. I have been following all of the steps you mentioned in this video. You have made my life a lot easier, and I just had to come and say thank you. Before watching this video, I was invited for an interview once in every 20 applications, but now I have 5 out of 10 😊. Keep doing what you are doing, and may the Most High bless you!

Having around 20 yrs of work experience, I still believe learning process never stops. Youngsters are fortunate enough to have all these platforms on their fingertips. Writing a Job winning cover letter & resume have always been a challenging task since I began my career their is no perfect resume template exists that make sure you'll get shortlisted for the first interview . In my humble opinion 60% of your cover letter & resume content remains same regardless of the position & company you're applying for the rest 40% consist of your past & present work achievements & that's what majority of the recruiters are eyeing for so it's essential to tailored that part according to every post's requirements. Hey Jeff, at duration 8:18 , can I ask like: "You are a senior web developer with over 20 years of experience. You are responsible for this job posting. Based on this job description, what are the 10 most technical interview questions you will ask job applicants? Here’s the job description: (paste job description)" And then for the technical test, "You are a senior web developer with over 20 years of experience. You are responsible for this job posting. Based on this job description, what kind of technical interview assessment you will provide for job applicants? Here’s the job description: (paste job description)"
@@JeffSu Thanks for asking. Well, it felt a bit like quite a long process at first (so I procrastinated a few days), but once I tried out your template, I realised the fear of imperfection was in my head. I did still have to redo some of the prompts to make it sound more authentic/human and particularly, like me. (not a prob tho) I still think it was better having the prompt template than not
Thank you Jeff, this was very helpful in killing my anxiety while using the tips to optimize my resume for a job application. Will let you know when I called for an interview 😊

Wow I hope I don't keep you waiting for too long! This video was 3.5 but I recently purchased ChatGPT Plus. I'll probably still give all examples on the free version moving forward and I'd say the free one is more than enough as long as you're using the right prompt engineering techniques!

I'm also realizing that even though I'm graduating with my associates now the real work comes in as my resume and my LinkedIn has to have correlation! You're awesome, Jeff! I had no idea about Chat GPT. Do you happened to have a video on people who are looking for an internship with their associates, what steps to take? etc
Wow, this is A LOT! It seems you went very fast. I have to rewatch this again and again to catch your good points. Also, I use ChatGPT for job searching too but I find that I ask it too much and it gives me too much good answers that my brain can't handle it all at once. Thanks, Jeff. I am so thrilled. You eased off the stress of my job search. @@shivamrai162 Awesome!!!
In addition to the perfection of his videos, how he interact with his viewers, is simply awesome😊
Yay thanks :)
This is the excellent content I've been looking for. Thank you Jeff!
You're very very welcome!
i've been watching a bunch of 'how to use chatgpt for resume and cover letter' vids, this is by far the best. thanks
That's what I love to hear Trishna 😁
This is really great stuff! I love how you utilize the conversational interface.
Sometimes I forget that you don't actually need to cram everything in a single prompt 😂 looking forward to more Chat GPT tips!
Yes it's actually better to let Chatgpt "digest" and break a single long prompt down into multiple steps!
This appeared on my RUclips homepage as I am currently job seeking. Thank god I found this! 😮
I'm thanking god you found this too 😏
Wow, I was making the obvious mistakes. Thanks for your Prompt tips they are life-saving.
No problem!
Dude you're going to help me land my next job. No joke. (Layoff) I'm binge watching your entire channel - will keep you posted! Thank you! :)
That's the whole reason I'm here Pooja, to help people like you! Best of luck 😁
Did it work?
Hey Jeff, at duration 8:18 , can I ask like:
"You are a senior web developer with over 20 years of experience. You are responsible for this job posting.
Based on this job description, what are the 10 most technical interview questions you will ask job applicants?
Here’s the job description:
(paste job description)"
And then for the technical test,
"You are a senior web developer with over 20 years of experience. You are responsible for this job posting.
Based on this job description, what kind of technical interview assessment you will provide for job applicants?
Here’s the job description:
(paste job description)"
Those are PERFECT! Great tips man!!
The video is impressive, hope that you will keep producing video with high-quality!!
I'll try my best 😁
This is so fire it feels illegal. Thanks for giving us the scripts for free dude.
You're a great one.
I'm using it right now.
You're very welcome! Let me know how it goes for you!! Would love feedback (good and bad)
@@JeffSu Thanks for asking.
Well, it felt a bit like quite a long process at first
(so I procrastinated a few days),
but once I tried out your template, I realised the fear of imperfection was in my head.
I did still have to redo some of the prompts to make it sound more authentic/human and particularly, like me.
(not a prob tho)
I still think it was better having the prompt template than not
@@JeffSu If we'd like to contribute potential changes/versions of the prompts, how should we do it?

The best!!! Because alot of these videos don't explain nothing. Jeff got this down!!!!!!😊

Because I value your time!
Straight to the fucking point. This is what we want people. Gj dude
It's because I value my viewers' time my friend 😁
Your content is the BEST I have found on using AI. I loooooooooove your stuff. I love how you explain everything and simplify things for the newbies in your audience. The only thing I would suggest is to speak more SLOWLY. Your speed is enough to create high blood pressure in the listener...lol. Its best to have readers in a relaxed state🙂 kudos to you.
Thanks 😁
Just a single word.. Bravo ! ❤
Thanks my friend 😁
@@JeffSu No thanks to you .
I'm the eldest and don't have anyone to help. ChatGPT is the only one to guide me through my career. But you took ChatGPT to next level as I always struggled with those measurable results. 😀
Wow, this makes applying to jobs fun. Great video!

Too much value in this 10 mins long video... unreal 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks!!
Hey Jeff. Great content!! Love your videos!! I really do wait for your videos to show up on my feed !.
Quick question: Is this GPT 4? or 3.5? Recommend getting the paid one? or does the free one suffice?
Wow I hope I don't keep you waiting for too long!
This video was 3.5 but I recently purchased ChatGPT Plus. I'll probably still give all examples on the free version moving forward and I'd say the free one is more than enough as long as you're using the right prompt engineering techniques!
@@JeffSu Am curious if there is a difference between the two. Let me know your recommendations once you get a better feel for it. Thanks
@@crazycrypto9454 there’s a huge difference to be honest. But I don’t think the majority of people need the paid version 😂
@@JeffSu lol what’s the biggest difference for you to recommend getting it.
@@crazycrypto9454 if you want to build a habit of using chatgpt, paying forces you to try to use it as much as possible hahahaha
Very captivating, couldn't stop watching. Great job
Thank you 😁
Jeff, thanks a bunch for the info. Would the same rules apply if I am applying for a completely different position from my current one?
Yes! I would recommend asking ChatGPT to highlight / emphasize your transferable skills 😁
Concise and always useful, Thank you Jeff Su, Thanks so much
You're very welcome Shirley!! 😁
I usually like your tips, and they are helpful. However, you spoke too fast in this video, which is sometimes hard to understand.
Sorry to hear that Mafi! I also heard feedback that I'm too slow haha, good thing RUclips has a feature to slow down or speed up the video!
@@JeffSuthis is acknowledgement at its finest. You should be in a call centre. Hehehe
Glad I am not the only one who thought this! He spoke WAyYyy too fast!
Why you have it on 1.5 bro xD
I agree with the fast part! Definitely not something to passively absorb.
Thanks, brother, I just started subscribing, and keep up the great work. I appreciate the insight!
No problem my friend 😁
I guess we can use it for the summary of the resume?!
Yes we for sure can Casi!
Thank you from a struggling student. :)
No problem 😁
Hey Jeff! Could you please tell what app you use for the clipboard copy history?
I use the Pro version of Alfred but a free alternative would be Maccy
Thank you Jeff for the wonderful video. You are a job seeker this video really help you because he has sharing the valuable contents in this video like how we can create good resume with help of chat gpt and also how to prepare interview based on job description. What i learned from this video has how to prepare good resume based on job description, Prepare interview based on job description and how we can crack chat gpt in creating a cover letter. Once again thank you jeff for the amazing video and i really try out this method because currently i am looking a job and applying many job but nobody has give replay i think using this technique i can solve my issue and i am recommending to each and everyone who really want to crack interviews.
Good luck!!
Hello Jeff, it's been a pleasure to have found your informative channel with such insighful content to make a postive impact in your resume and LinkedIn. I have recently started crafting my profile and got my functional resume as I'm trying to get and internship. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I'm also realizing that even though I'm graduating with my associates now the real work comes in as my resume and my LinkedIn has to have correlation! You're awesome, Jeff! I had no idea about Chat GPT. Do you happened to have a video on people who are looking for an internship with their associates, what steps to take? etc
The same steps would apply 😁
Wow, this is A LOT! It seems you went very fast. I have to rewatch this again and again to catch your good points. Also, I use ChatGPT for job searching too but I find that I ask it too much and it gives me too much good answers that my brain can't handle it all at once. Can you make a video on how to focus on one thing or issue instead of the many? You don't have to make it if you don't get it. I just find using ChatGPT for job searching is fascinating.
As always, have a great one! 😅
I would just timeblock and tell myself to focus on "cover letter" for 1 hour instead of worrying about all the other steps!
learning from Jeff Su you will know that the technique is just surface, it's the mentality behind it that drives him to do the things he does.
Haha thanks Mingyi! Both are important 😁
Hey bro, dope video, I cant lie after watching your first video on Resume and GPT I resonated with not taking the search seriously and blindly firing out 20 applications a day. Today I was well and truly deflated and thought, I can't lose anything by watching you video attentively. And I'm glad I did.
Quick question, What is that clipboard tool you use to paste prompts like that?
Thank you sir and keep up the good work
Glad I was able to help! I use Alfred's snippets extension

Hey Jeff,
Love your vids, man! Seriously, they're my go-to for learning real life skills. But, real talk, I'm drowning in all this info. Any chance you can drop a hint on the order I should be watching them to nail my dream job? Your wisdom would be a game-changer for me. Big thanks for the awesome content and keep rocking it! Excited for what you've got coming next!
I have organized playlists on my channel 😁
Thank you Jeff!
This video blew my mind if you are giving Chat GPT prompt courses I would be delighted to pay and learn from you.
I might do that down the road!!
this is too good! Thank you Jeff!
That's what I love to hear my friend 😁
Thanks, Jeff. I am so thrilled. You eased off the stress of my job search.
When tailoring a professional resume for engineering, what should I do if my experience is not relevant and it would leave a gap in my employment history? Or if It is a resume where there's been a career change and yet to have the required experience. I understand there's no perfect resume. and how can we use CHAPGPT to do this?
Check out the Part 2 video: You should prompt it to tell you what transferable skills you have!
Thanks!
No, thank YOU my friend for being such an awesome supporter of this content 😁
