Wow! Congratulations on the new addition to the family. If you don’t mind me asking, what inspired you the most to make the purchase and what do you feel is going to be your favorite thing about the EKKO. In our opinion your going to love it for sure.
It has so many pluses, but for me, I would say its nimbleness to allow us to go places we cannot with our current travel trailer rig, especially getting off the beaten path to explore with its ability to boondock@@ekkonesters599

Catalina state park is awesome . We take our Travato there many times . We went to a Travato rally once, lmao. Biggest bunch of geeks . Not our jam. Do u ever think an Ekko will get a pop out?
Johnny, your question about the new EKKO on the Sprinter chassis is fantastic. I Have several thoughts and a lot to share, but I’ll do my best to summarize and condense it. In respect to comparisons/differences, well here are some immediate key changes. It's approximately 5 inches taller and around 16.5 inches longer than the Ford Chassis EKKO (I’d need to confirm these measurements, but I think I’m pretty spot on) The entry from the side door offers a unique experience, leading you to a spacious dining section with ample storage. The kitchen window is slightly smaller but complements the overall design and configuration of the new galley kitchen. The Sprinter based Chassis EKKO features an induction stove that fits conveniently in the drawer opening up a lot of useful counter space. The beds seem longer with a layout similar to the Ford Chassis EKKO. There is definitely additional storage throughout with multipurpose compartments for convenience. The garage, with a stepped platform at the base of the floor. Which is different then that of the Ford Chassis EKKO which has a larger garage floor base. I believe the Sprinter chassis EKKO is like this possibly due to the spare tire mounted underneath. The overall stature is impressive, offering opportunities for personalization both inside and out. Winnebago's approach allows users to tailor it to their liking, striking a balance between refinement and personalization. It's not overbuilt, which is nice, as this leaves room for individual touches/mods. Overall I’m very impressed and am looking forward to seeing several on the road. Personally, I think Winnebago nailed it as there will be options for people that love the Fords and those that are Mercedes fans as well. The future is bright.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis generally offers a smoother ride from the base factory set up, better fuel efficiency in most cases, and a slightly higher payload capacity. However, it tends to be pricier in many respects that include overall general maintenance as well unexpected repair cost. On the other hand, the Ford Transit chassis provides a good balance between affordability and reliability. Depending on who you talk to, you’ll find many Ford owners with near or over 500k miles. While it’s also a matter of maintaining general maintenance as well. I think it's essential to consider factors such as maintenance costs, personal preferences, intended usage, and individual experiences when choosing between the two chassis options for the Winnebago EKKO. I would arguably say that you finding a ford repair shop/mechanic vs a Mercedes repair shop/mechanic is probably more likely by numbers across the US. I’ve been very pleased with the Ford Transit engine and chassis as to date. I do own an older 2006 Sprinter and it is been a work horse with over 300k miles. Also, we recently spent 3 solid days driving the Mercedes EKKO and while the Mercedes is very refined in the cab, it does not have nearly the HP and torque that the Ford has. I did see several at the Tucson EKKO Rally and have heard of other towing larger race car trailers. Definitely has the HP to do so and plenty of torque. Thank you for subscribing to our channel.
I like the layout of the new EKKO on the Mercedes chassis but wouldn't buy a Mercedes. Too expensive to buy, too expensive to maintain, and too difficult to find authorized warranty work. Way too many too's!
