- Ocean acidification is the ongoing decrease in the pH value of the Earth's oceans, caused by the uptake of carbon dioxide (CO. 2) from the atmosphere. The main cause of ocean acidification is the burning of fossil fuels
In this video, we will discuss.
1. Ocean acidification
2. Process and Phenomenon
3. Saturation Horizon
4. Lysocline
5. Carbon Compensation Depth

You’re the best teacher who makes everything easy to understand
Nice explaination... Ek ghante ki video dekhi dusre channel pr to bhi ittni clarity nhi aayi jitni ye 15 min k video me aayi. Thanku sir ⭐
Brilliant lecture sir ! It would be great if you bring a lecture on rock system and resource distribution too. These topics holds importance for prelims.
Its wonderful i cant undrstand anywhere else than here
Tqu sir ...we want this type of explanation ...in still in Karnataka in very happy for you Hindi explanation
Thankyou so much for such an amazing lecture that completed the full ocean acidification topic of shanka ias in just 16 min
Amazing👍👍👍
Helpful lecture, Sir! Many thanks
One correction: @ 7.15 this is mollusk not coral.
Edit: Corals have different structure, made of algae and zooxanthalee.
Chambered Cephalopods Shell structure
Thank you sir,
You explained very well, especially equation concept.
Good one sir❤
Best lecture sir
Good explanation
Amazing.......
Good lecture
Thankyou so much for this much helpful video.
Brilliant lecture 👏
Well explained.
Thanks a lot sir….crystal clear
good..
❤❤ nice ❤❤
Yes Acid rain is the reason but you should have mentioned that its highly influence is on regional level and not on global level, globally its very minimal. so you can't say acid rain is a biggest reason but you should say when it comes to added effects in ocean acidification, acid reason and eutrophication is a major reason. main cause is fossil fuel.
Thank u sir❤❤❤
Super.....
Thank you sir aapse milana hai sir 😊
Due to the warm water on the surface of the ocean that is why Abundance of CaCo3 found in this region
What is the PH level of the waters around the Cliffs of Dover?
Thank you sir:)
Thanks sir
Sir ye b btao ..why caco3 ions are more in the upper layer than lower layers of oceans?
Carbon deposition is necessary to formation of fossils after long time compression
Sir clear crystal
Thanks sir!
Bring lecture on landfroms and minerals before pre
Sir agr iska pdf mein documents mill jae to badiya hofa sir....
Ur v gud sirji
Does increase in acidification also increases the ocean temperature?? Pls answer sir!
Thanku sirr.. 🙏... Sirr geography optional pdhate h kya aap? Join krna h
Sir, calcite and aragonite is polymorphous mineral having same chemical composition i.e calcium carbonate, its not organism.
Yess that is a mineral form ...
Organisms that have the calcite mineral shell .....i just referred them as calcite organisms ....
Organisms having more soluble shell forms are termed here aragonite organisms ....thats it.
Keep learning
👍🏻✨
CCD = Calcite Compensation Depth
That is carbon compensation depth ...here no carbonate can escape dissolution...even if it is harder calcites ....so u can say it calcite compensation depth ....but technically its carbon compensation depth :)
👍👍
👍🏻
Good but can it b in English
If Possible Kindly Teach In English It Will Useful Entire Country
Please go back to that just screen presentation, it's so much better that way. Without a person in front gives great concentration.
