    Brother Rawson , I found this talk on Monday morning . I knew that I must listen . I really loved your talk on your conversion . Before reading in the B.O. M. And asking Heavenly Father if it was true , your life and mine has so many parales . After leaving the Marine Corps I to chose to earn my daily bread as a working cowboy and driving a truck . Well just before my wonderful , beautiful wife starved to death I decided to get a real job as a mechanic / welder . Aside from working as a cowboy , driving a truck and the Marine Corps this was all I knew to provide for my new wife . Glenn, I learned so early after being baptized just how powerful prayer is . I love the church Heavenly , Father and the knowledge that he dose in fact listen and answer my prayers . I could no more deny this than deny the fact that Heavenly Father did indeed personally tell me as I prayed that the prophet Joseph Smith was in fact our Savior's prophet chosen to restore his Church back on the earth and that the Book Of Mormon is holy scripture . I know that I have written to much ,and I don't actually expect anyone has the timeto endure my rambling , .but I just felt a strong prompting to bear this little testimony .

    Hi Glenn, this is Steve again. That was the most beautiful presentation about prayer. It really helped to establish the fact that we do need to have faith in prayer and believe that our prayers are going to make a difference in someone else’s life, and also in our own lives. Especially those times of temptation or loneliness when we can draw upon the spirit of our savior! Thank you brother I appreciate you.

    Thank you for this beautiful devotional. My spirit needed to hear it.
    Tomorrow is going to be 35 years I was baptized and I have loved the Gospel from day one. I am forever grateful to my Heavenly Father and Jesus for their love and guidance through prayer.

    I learned about this in sacrament yesterday. We got the chance to listen to 2 missionaries. One is going home at the end of March, and the other had just been on his mission for 9 days and they both had the message I needed to hear! I cried the entire time. Then I go into relief society, and wouldn’t you know it was also exactly what I needed to hear. So I feel like sacrament was my four leaf clover, and going to relief society was my five leaf clover!! God is definitely aware of all us, and what we need to hear, and be shown how much he loves us, and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! My heart was so full yesterday. ❤

    Glenn, even though this is a day after your fireside, I have felt so touched by this particular fireside like no other. Your personal touch is incomparable and full of sincerity, warmth, humility, and power. Your firesides provide so much strength and encouragment for me personally. Please continue to offer these devotionals! They are not only educational and enlightening, but for me, they often provide answers to MY prayers. You are a gem, my friend...

    The Prayer Of Cyrus Brown
    by Sam Walter Foss
    “The proper way for a man to pray”
    said Deacon Lemuel Keyes,
    “and the only proper attitude
    is down upon his knees.”
    “Nay, I should say the way to pray,”
    said Reverend Dr. Wise
    “is standing straight with outstrecthed arms
    and rapt and upturned eyes.”
    “Oh, no, no, no.” said Elder Snow
    “Such posture is too proud
    A man should pray with eyes fast closed
    and head contritely bowed.”
    “It seems to me his hands should be
    astutely clasped in front.
    With both thumbs a pointing toward the ground.”
    Said Reverend Hunt.
    “Las’ year I fell in Hodgkins well
    head first,” said Cyrus Brown,
    “With both my heels a-stikin’ up,
    my head a-p’inting down,
    An’ I made a prayer right there an’ then;
    Best prayer I ever said;
    The prayingest prayer I ever prayed,
    A-standin on my head.”
