    As a pre-med student who studied dermatology and spent 3 years regrowing my hair after a bad bleaching experience (and no personal bias toward Tati) the ingredients are exactly what I took to regrow my hair. From 18 inches to 42 inches HEALTHILY. With no split ends. (No heat or harsh chemicals too) The ingredients seem legit.

    I worked in nutraceuticul manufacturing and packing company as a QA inspector for almost 8 yrs. I now work in Pharmaceuticals for a major well known brand.... 16 yrs experience working in FDA ,cGMP, cGLP regulated enviroments. From what she is saying about the processes, testing, and packaging is 100 percent correct. I also have a degree in business administration so what she is saying about wholesaling is also correct. To me I'd say she sounds credible. Just my thoughts based on my own knowledge and experience.

    I just wish when Tati did the reveal video she had brought one of the experts she’s working with on with her to discuss all of the concerns ppl were inevitably going to have. A dr, pharmacist, nutritionist, someone that she’s been working with. I think it would have been more profession and eased a lot of fears.

    Tati,
    I watched the whole video. And I really didn’t think I would watch a 52 minute video and listen to every single word, but I did.
    First of all, your composure throughout your video has really impressed me. With all the negative feedback, name-calling, and hate, it is extremely difficult to not respond with the same. But you showed your audience how to be professional. You calmly responded to all the controversy with details of your journey on Halo Beauty. It truly shows your level of maturity and why you are a successful person. The fact that you don’t replicate negativity and that you use times like these to grow and learn sets you apart from other RUclipsrs and truly defines your success.
    Now, with Halo Beauty, I can see why there was so much controversy. People were taken a back by such an unexpected launch. This type of video with all the details of Halo Beauty’s journey should have been made before the launch, so that the audience would have known in depth of what they were going to spend their money on. With that said, I believe in your passion behind making and selling the Halo Beauty vitamins. The careful sourcing of your ingredients, decisions to make it vegan and gluten, sugar, and soy free, the fair pricing of it, and so much more that we cannot see prove your honest intentions to make effective supplements for your subscribers.
    I want you to know that I am a supporter of you and your brand. I feel bad that you are going through undeserved hatred and criticism, but I believe that time will only tell how great your brand is. For all the hard work you put into not only creating the vitamins, but also uploading 5 times a week and maintaining honesty and integrity in your channel, you deserve all the success and more.
    Lots of love from a fan.

    My husband has been highly active in supplements for the last 20 years and we actually have almost all the ingredients of this supplement in our pantry (which I thought was funny). I showed him the ingredients and he said that these are all good/great ingredients. His only thought was the price was high and some of the ingredient amounts were very little and this video explains the reason for that throughly. I’m sure the bottle design costs more as well. I will be giving this a try, I’m excited to see if I see any results.

      Well, seeing that hair takes 1/2 in to grow a month and the vitamins will show results in the new growth only, we'd need a closeup of her roots. (I say this because the vitamins won't affect hair already grown since it only absorbs from outside sources, not from the root. Like something with veins would.) Same with nails, being that they grow the same and are made of the same thing as hair. The only true results with something like this would be the skin. Skin can be tricky because skin can absorb vitamins as well, so it wouldn't be a true test. It'd be really hard and take at least a year to see results.

    I finally gave in and purchased your Halo vitamins, supplements, skin quenchers... I have to admit, I did not want to like them simply because they are kind of pricey. But, Tati, I have had issues with dry skin for as long as I can remember, I live in the desert, and I thought there was never going to be anything that would correct it for longer than an hour or so… In one week I have seen dramatic differences in the hydration of my skin, in the elasticity of my skin, and I cannot wait to see other improvements as I continue using them. Of course she’s mad, people are attacking her MOTHER for God’s sake. People are making false accusations for stuff they read online. Yeah, maybe it was her mistake for not giving the complete information when she posted the video about her vitamins but she’s HUMAN. Cut her some slack. She’s in her right to be angry and hurt. I can understand her and although she didn’t talk as calm as she always does, I didn’t feel “yelled at” because I know it wasn’t directed to me. So don’t criticize the fact that she spoke her mind to defend herself. Tati has always been a classy lady and she always will be, so chill tf out.

For something as simple as a cleanser I'll watch RUclipsrs, read reviews online, research the ingredients and in depth blog reviews. While I'm not supportive of the hate I can understand people being skeptical. I think the reason that a lot of people are up in arms about this product is because it's really not what we would expect from Tati. Yes she might have briefly mentioned vitamins in videos before but that is not the main focus of her channel. When she said she was launching a line we all expected color cosmetics because that is what she tests and what we trust her to talk about, so these vitamins are coming completely out of nowhere and she hasn't built our trust in her to review things like that. I would also like to see the complete published clinical trial because it looks like the only thing on the website are results from a single person and an N of 1 isn't particularly convincing.

  • @MG-bw4lg

    As someone with a background in lab research and medicine I feel like I have to clarify the whole no studies thing. When you set out to create a new drug or supplement you formulate what you think will work based on science and previous clinical trials of ingredients. This is why Tati can say her ingredients are clinically proven to do certain things.
    Once a medical drug is created to treat something, the FDA requires that it go through efficacy testing as a whole because unfortunately what logically should work doesn't always actually work well in the body. Supplements and vitamins don't go through a clinical trial to prove efficacy after creation because they aren't approved by the FDA. Yes, this means there's a higher chance Halo Beauty won't work the way it logically should than, say, a cholesterol medication. But it also doesn't mean it's automatically a scam.
    Now I totally understand where some of you are coming from, assuming Tati would have just done studies on her own to prove efficacy. But if she were to run her own clinical trial for these the price per month would skyrocket. With a medication, you have a population that is forced to consume your creation (because they have a specific disease) and you have giant insurance corporations forced to pay way more than $40 a month for said people to take the medication you've created. This means there's a return on investment even if you charge an extremely high price to cover the cost of bringing your creation to market. With supplements, you have to convince a population to purchase from you, so the cost has to be reasonable.
    One last point, anticipating some of y'all thinking Tati is wealthy enough to do these studies anyway...no. The average cost to bring a medication to market is over 2.5 BILLION, including formulating a product and then paying for safety and efficacy testing (the company pays for this, the FDA just makes sure it was done well). A clinical trial alone costs upwards of $35,000 PER PARTICIPANT. So I'm sure even Tati agrees a clinical trial would be nice, but financially it just isn't feasible to have efficacy studies on the complete supplement.

    Just saying.. but I dont ask for clinical studies when buying super fancy acne creams or anything. Or make up. Or food. Or anything. I bought a random vitamin last week at walmart because I wanted to try it out. Everyone is just so mean because there is a face to the product, and someone they can complain to. Hi Tati, I do still have some questions. On your HaloBeauty website, you site clinically proven and give examples where 90% of people saw X and 95% saw Y changes. Can you please give us these studies? And when you say that 90% of people saw fine lines reduced, is this a study on just the ingredient that is intended to reduce fine lines? Or is this with the entire formula? If you have these results, then why are there not before and afters? Has this product been tested, in its full formulation, with a group of testers? Or are you just testing key ingredients and blending them together, hoping the result will be the same? It doesn't make sense to me why you wouldn't have before and afters if you did clinical trials...

      What a silly comment. I guess you had no way to counteract her point, so came up with this gobbledy-goop instead. Tati is a beauty guru who talks about nothing about makeup and has never talked about vitamins or even proven she has any knowledge in creating them or gone much into detail. Then she talks about a massive beauty lauch she is doing, and obviously everybody would think it would be makeup or perhaps skincare if not makeup, but she comes out with hella expensive vitamins that she merely claims that they work with no evidence. It was in every way a poor way to make your first lauch.

  • @heatherewan2835

    This is why it's so important to know your audience when you launch a product. If Tati had launched makeup, we would have all jumped on board because we trust her opinion on makeup. Heck, even skincare. We know that she knows her stuff on those topics. Both would have been crazy successful. But Tati launched a vitamin instead. I had no idea she was passionate about vitamins! Where are the dedicated videos about how important it is to take vitamins? Casually mentioning vitamins in a few videos is not enough. In Tati's case, It would have been smarter from a business standpoint to launch makeup/skincare and then launch the vitamin, not the other way around. I understand Tati's frustration, esp all the stuff with her mom(WTF?!) and that person posting the address, but I just can't buy a vitamin from someone who has only mentioned vitamins a few times on their channel in a very casual manner. I had no idea she was so passionate about vitamins. That's the issue here, for me at least.

      I think it would have been the same thing. If she put the same effort into the make-up or skincare, it will not be cheap and the negativity would begin. "Where is your proof on the efficacy of the ingredients, etc." I am more likely to try the supplements than spend on yet another palette of eye shadow. I love that she is going her own way, starting from the inside out. It was definitely a surprise, that is for sure!

      So u ONLY buy vitamins from people who have a youtube channel & have made a career & have many videos about them? I have watched her long enough to know that I MYSELF trust her opinion... That's me. If u don't, ok. If u need vitamins from someone who talks about them 24/7, find them! RUclips is a big platform! Of course make up would've been a better launch product! So what's that say that she launched a vitamin instead? Don't wanna try it, fine. I cant afford to so I wont. But I wont judge her or her launch or her marketing regardless. SHE knows herself & passions. Not we.

    • @talacocheta9001
      @talacocheta9001 6 лет назад +1

      Not just run the trials, but publish them on the website and talk about them when questioned about it. AND show before and after photos. The collagen powder that I take from a local store even does that; you can see the before and after of one woman right on the container, and the clinical trials on their website. (Two different trials, double-blind studies even!)

    • @talacocheta9001
      @talacocheta9001 6 лет назад

      +Tyler Pistachio - The collagen powder that I take is an internal one. And I saw a 20% reduction in fine lines just as they said I would (up to 20%) - and just as the clinical trials showed women had reductions up to. Had it not worked, I would have gotten my money back. Edited to add that I didn't have as much of a hood reduction on my hooded eyes as the image on their packaging, but it does look like I had a bit of an eye lift there without having resorted to surgery.

    Damn Tati. You're what's up. I've slept on ya for years not gonna lie. I know this is a crazy time for you but I've never seen someone so real online. You got a new subscriber and I'll be definetly doing a six month trial for your vitamins. Good luck and have a great day!
    Edit: also just wanna say. Even if people are upset with you not releasing make up first I really feel like this IS the way to go about it. Releasing make up first would make your vitamin seem second rate. Having the vitamin release first shows where your focus has been so you're not just doing a whole beauty line and releasing some random vitamin. I truly wouldn't be as inclined to try the vitamins if I saw a bunch of make up along with it.

I feel like nobody knows if this actually works because there’s no photo evidence of the effects. While the ingredients do promote health, the vitamins are very similar to a lot of items out there. Overall, i won’t be buying this (shipping to NY was $18 plus it’s way more expensive then what you can find at CVS) but I wish you luck on this brand and I’m excited to see more. Xxx

    The one thing I don't get is why Tati is upset about people looking into her company (address, people working there etc.). In European countries at least a lot of this info is kept in public registers exactly so that people can find them and make informed decisions about buying a company's products. If that info is public in the US too, why get upset by people doing due diligence? That's the kind of thing that gets me uneasy here (not to mention in the EU you HAVE to list ingredients so to us it's funny that that is supposed to be a big selling point).

    I am still confused by the saw palmetto. I don't want to be blocked for asking this because I do love your reviews. Anyway, my husband takes saw palmetto for his prostate. The bottle is 320mg tablets. On the warnings, it says "this product is intended for use by men and is not intended for use by women." It is not a blend of men's vitamins. It is a stand alone bottle of saw palmetto. I'm still just confused. I looked at several brands this weekend at the drug store and every bottle of saw palmetto did say that it was not intended for use by women. I didn't see any that were above the 320mg doses like my husbands. Are there any studies showing that in your dosage it is safe women? I'm sincerely asking:)

      Madi Lira like, it’s honestly just conflicting. I can see that she’s put the work in, but tbh the nature of the product and the way it was launched has completely lost me. It has so little to do with her brand, the trust she talks about in this video which she has built up was for beauty stuff. Absolutely not vitamins which is something quite serious. It just seems like a wholly business move and not something genuine which is what I used to associate with Tati.

I just don't feel she needed to address anything except information people have requested about the actual vitamins and shipping (which she answered in this video.) People are off their rocker, thinking she owes them more than that.

    I feel like all of the criticism came from the lack of information we was given before her launch. If this video came out before her launch I feel as if it would’ve been a lot smoother. I’ve learned so much more about her product just watching this video.We are not just gonna go out and buy something and take it because a person whom you probably never met told you to buy it. Of course you should talk w a doctor or pharmacist before taking anything. I will support Tati in her future products but not w the vitamin bc of personal reasons.

  • @fiore3520
    @fiore3520 6 лет назад +46

    I think the marketing strategy chosen to launch this product was not the correct one. It would have helped to have on your site, interviews with doctors backing up your product, or as other brands have, cases showing as you say that your product really work As much as people may trust you, you got to consider that you are selling a health product. And how a health product is marketed it is not the same how a beauty or cosmetic product is marketed.

  • @rachelciararose

    Coming out with a vitamin isn't a bad idea, but the introductory video should have been better & more inclusive of all the information you now spill because of the backlash. Maybe a longer trial with different ages of your niche market, surveys, before & afters on yourself & others. People are rightfully going to ask about these important points before they spend their hard-earned cash on something not proved to them on video. That's all what was needed. More detailed information!

There are so many beauty products out on the market, if she didn’t produce what it is you wanted then look somewhere else. It makes me so upset to see someone I trust being attacked over something she obviously worked hard on. It’s horrible that so many people in this world assume everyone does things with malicious intent. Most people who see this in others are that way themselves.

    I completely understand that a ton of this backlash went too far and was uncalled for. But I think a lot of people just wanted this information in the first video. It’s not that we don’t trust you, but the launch video just wasn’t as thorough as you always are, and the website wasn’t open yet when you made that video so it invited a lot of questions. You told us what it was and that it worked for you, but not why it worked or what was in it. That’s not enough information for me to buy a product (but also it’s not like I was angry either!).
    Now that you have explained, I’m intrigued! Maybe I’ll buy this. But we don’t just like you for your word, we trust you because you are thorough and thoughtful and transparent when discussing products. This is your first launch! There’s a lot to learn, and in the end this is really more of a marketing/PR issue. Maybe in the future give us the same amount of information as you would any other product at the start. I can understand that you’re upset that something you’ve worked so hard on and you were so excited about didn’t get the response you hoped for. But some of us just had some pretty normal questions about the launch, and it doesn’t feel good to be kinda yelled at for being the thoughtful consumers you always encourage us to be. No one’s word alone, not even yours, should ever be enough to make someone buy a product with little other information.
    Again, I understand how you feel, and a lot of what you’ve experienced has been uncalled for. But those crazy angry people aren’t buying from you no matter what you say, so try to sift that out from the normal concerns of normal people.

      Yea Catherine, and I completely understand how you feel. You are absolutely right about how Tati is normally very thorough when talking about products, and that she definitely should have included more information about her brand when she did her launch video, but about her "yelling" at those who are just curious about her products (as I'm sure you are), she wasn't intentionally trying to make you feel bad, she was simply addressing the fact that people are harassing and attacking her with false accusations, and that some of the things that those people are doing are crossing the line. She was targeting those specific issues and telling her viewers that it really hurt her. Also, the tone she used was kind of accusatory, but again, she has a solid point. If a customer is genuinely curious about something and they would like to learn more about it, then they as the consumer should look for factual information that is actually true. I'm not saying that all people do this, but many are "researching" her product and reading false information that simply isn't true, and maybe if they were truly interested then they should dig deeper and make sure that what they are reading is real information that can be backed up with factual evidence.

    I am absolutely disgusted by the topics in this video. It infuriates me that a knowledgeable, creative, & talented woman has to go on her RUclips platform to justify/explain herself to such ignorance. If she was a man would this be happening? Some of the topics Tati spoke about really hit a nerve with me. One of them being “I wouldn’t trust a woman that wears two foundations” can we take a moment and look how misogynistic that statement is? I think it’s great people want to get involved and be empowered. So I can understand that there can be some skepticism with a new supplement being put on the market. However, solely basing your skepticism on a person’s appearance or preferences is completely asinine. Tati I haven’t tried your product but I would like to. But I am going to do the smart and responsible thing FIRST and simply talk with my doctor. I’m intrigued by the formula but I have to make sure it’s okay for me to take. Common sense, right? I personally take many supplements to support my general & mental health. So it’s a bit of a ‘duh’ statement to just check with your doc. I think it is amazing how much you have invested into your product and how thorough you were with your video. Keep doing what you’re doing, because dear you are doing it well.

      why are you bringing gender into this? we weren't criticizing her because she is a woman. we were criticizing the fact that she is a beauty guru and she decided to make a line of vitamins. Furthermore, she had no real clinical proof to back up the validity of her vitamin range. there were no before and after pictures or experts explaining the product. we didn't know how reliable her product was because she couldn't back her statements up.

      Tiffany Liao your right it’s not about gender. it’s about the fact that you are so heavily reliant on a before and after lie to get a product than actually looking at what’s in the product.

    Just a question?? If this wasn't your brand,how would you view it from all the information that was given?? If you were to review this,how would you review it?? I'm just curious if this wasnt your brand just looking at it from a different point of view.

    I think you need to accept that some people just won’t get behind this, and that’s okay. Your channel didn’t get successful being a health channel, so people feeling confused by the first launch is inevitable. Still love you, your reviews, your videos.

      A lot of clinical studies will have confidential results. Tati may well want to show these results, but can’t. Clinical testing means these products have been tested on humans. Human being that have consented to this data being produced from their experience...and the chances are there is a clause in the contract they signed stating all results will be confidential, or only available to those who need it....and as consumers you don’t actually need those results. I fully believe all products Tati brings out will have been tested appropriately...and she’s using these products on her own skin I assume, she wouldn’t do that if she wasn’t sure they were safe!

    • @LoveyRoxx
      @LoveyRoxx 6 лет назад +12

      those results are still allowed to be published without names and information of participants. I doubt that all the participants in the clinical study refused to have their results published in the end, that is unreasonable. And if that turns out to be the case, Tati should not claim this is a clinically tested products if she is unwilling or cannot publish the results, findings and the methodology of the product.

      Supplements don't have to be FDA approved. I think it is generally a good idea to stay away from them. I'm sure Tati has the best intentions, but let's face it, she isn't a chemist or a doctor.

    Since you have been taking the vitamins yourself it would have been cool to see how nice your skin looks, like visual comparison. but the only images you have on your site is of you with make up on. Granted your make up looks flawless but you can't see your skin which I think is the main selling point. Two pictures of you in make up doesn't show me anything other than you slaying a look.

      You need to pay attention to the beginning of most of her videos, abd you can see how gorgeous her skin looks. Maybe you've noticed some of the comments, too, where people remark that her skin looks flawless. Some even have asked her if she's pregnant because she's "glowing from within" which is what her product provides
