There was a brief Legends comics called Invasion which was set during the Yuuzhan Vong War. In one issue, the Solos, Lowbacca - Chewie's Jedi nephew, and a new Jedi traveled to Nar Shaddaa. At one point they were forced to ignite their lightsabers. I remember this line from one of the denizens on Nar Shaddaa: "A Wookie with a lightsaber?! That's overkill!" We got Kelnacca igniting his lightsaber next week. That line has to be in next week's episode! Or at least in an episode where Kelnacca appears, assuming he survives next week's episode.

I was looking for a show that got me interested in both the characters and story.
I did not find it.
I also thought it was a good start. People idolize this franchise, myself included. Most just either can’t or won’t accept or accept that this is Disney, not the same Star Wars. I don’t know what they expect, but I look at it as something different than the older Lucas stuff and that allows me to not hate it. Looking forward to this episode. At least it’s something in the SW universe. And I didn’t hate it. Didn’t love it but that’s ok it’s 2 episodes.
idk why people are hating also it was real good and I prefer Legends over canon and My uncles are Expanded Universe & Legends fans they been doing star wars since its birth and they said the series was real good.

Most of Kenobi was dogshit lol, only good part was the final speech between Vader and Kenobi, as well as the brief flashback. Even the final fight scene was sequel level choreography
I'll just stick to the original classic movies from decades ago. Before the dark times...before CGI, before Disney.
Al lot of these modern 'filmmakers' have been seduced to the dark side and they are not even aware of it.
My appreciation, admiration for the prop / model / puppet makers, those were the real artists, real filming locations, camera movements, the music, is just growing day by day.
And for the last 25 years it's completely the opposite.
There's no soul anymore in modern movie making. It's more like:" Look what we can do now with the latest technology!"
And give it a title related to the SW saga....
The sequel trilogy went back to filming mostly with practically stuff unlike the prequels
George is the one who pioneered cgi and spat in the face of his prop makers and art dept who did academy award level work on the original trilogy…. We can’t even watch the originals in 4k because he wanted his quickly outdated cgi versions…. I hate the Disney trilogy too but they actually brought back more practical effects than the George probably would have.
I fully expected to hate the acolyte but it’s not too bad so far. Y’all just find anything to whine about

I really enjoyed the first two episodes, can’t wait for the next episode! Probably the best Disney Star Wars besides “TFA” in my opinion. (Love both Mae & Osha’s characters & designs. Just hope they don’t drop the ball with the story)
