***** Actually, the Scots descended from the Gaels, i.e the Irish that migrated from Ireland and colonized parts of western Scotland and eventually eliminated the Pictish culture. The entirety of "pictish culture" was not eliminated by the Scots either, this can only be said to be on the frontier of the western Highlands. The areas around Caithness were still populated by the Pictish people up to the 7th century, when the Norse "invaded" - or more accurately, settled. The Scots had far less landholdings, designated mainly to the west coast. Even still, you haven't even discussed the Celts, Britons or Anglo-saxons.

great video man :) 1:54 the way Chabal stops like a north-of-220 lbs-guy dead in his tracks, lifts him up in the air and throw him down like a rag doll, this is some serious power... scary dude to face off in his prime for sure... I wonder how a big rugby guy would fare in the NFL in terms of speed / power / explosiveness ?

And then all the breaks and tactics...All Rugby player have strong stamina...no NFL athlete could hold up 5 minutes in Rugby..and I know this as a fact...even the big props in rugby need to be moving constantly keeping up with the game and line of defense..whereas NFL is stop and go ..they only train strength and speed...and shoot roids like crazy...because no young athletes look like they are...weighing in heavier than heavyweight boxers and bigger than strongmen...realy...
I did play both sports and Football was fun,cool but dead easy as a sportsman...Rugby however was tough as you are constantly giving 100% and trying to get back to normal...but then the situation does not let you...and you cannot let your mates down..and you see the fatter guys keep going on and think...what's wrong with me...I should be happy to do the extra work...btw in rugby I was 6'2" and 195pounds and in football later 6'2"and 265 pounds.

Une vidéo intéressante car elle montre 2 volets bien distincts de ses énormes capacités. On connait ses accélérations fulgurantes avec cadrage débordement et sa capacité à pénétrer la défence mais là on voit aussi très bien sa capacité à stopper netdes joueurs de 100kg lancés à pleine vitesse. Cela demande beaucoup de technique pour ne pas se faire mal et pour rester sur ses appuis. M.Chabal est une belle synthèse entre fierté du maillot, puissance, stature, technique, vitesse, rapidité, engagement, esprit du guerrier. Il ne lui manque que la world cup pour avoir fait une carrière parfaite. Un joueur d'exception.

That was a great generation. Bonnaire, Chabal, Rougerie... It's kinda sad to not see them play for France anymore. I hope the new team will find a way to victory, cause the 6 nation was pretty chaotic for France. I don't understand why you guys don't let play Parra and Trinh Duc at 9 and 10. I think they did great together during the world cup.

Great footage. We see a lot of hits, but I think Chabal was at his best when playing for Sale under the coaching of Philippe Saint-André. At that time, he was hitting hard of course but not just, he was running fast, taking the gap between the opposition defensive lines, while off-loading a lot more than when playing for France at 7 then 4. Laporte must have played him at 8 at the very end of him coaching France. By then Chabal was already 30 or 32. Laporte really wasted Chabal's potential.
