When I was introduced to this podcast through Dan Carlin I had not imagined that the guys with quotes like 'I think we should have gotten involved in ww1 on the other side so we could finally put france in their place' and 'he looks like a man who would manage Huddersfield Town in 1927' would have me fighting back tears for 30 minutes straight. Cracking episode, great stuff lads and thank you.
Thank-you for this uplifting episode. Whilst conceding that the Danes probably do deserve a brief period of respite, i trust the postcast will turn its attention back to Lindisfarne and the 8th century before long.
You mean when selfless scandinavians rescued the valuables from the burning monestry, after all the monks had died? They should be lauded for their bravery!

I'm sad to see the World Cup is almost over as this is been a great month having a podcast every day by the Rest of History dynamic duo.
You made me cry a little bit at work.

Very moving story ❤️
Amazing !
I think you meant Heisenberg and Bohr not Von Braun.
The excellent Danes 🇩🇰 ❤
Werner Heisenberg, not Werner von Braun
Great episode as always!! I have read about a forceful sterilization of gypsies in Sweden. Would this be during WW2 as well?
