Peanuts thrown by my wife's uncle! They are just outside the gate at the back of his house which backs on to the forest! He gets wild deer up there too.
+john l uk its to my knowledge these boar are a fairly new animal that once belonged in the forest of dean but were extinct due to over hunting... how is the population of boar nowadays doing?
Pablo I did reply to your first post but I can't see it here so just to confirm they are eating peanuts thrown for them by my wife's uncle. They are genuinely wild but the youngsters were quite friendly.
Pablo for some reason I can only see the first line of your new post and I still can't see my replies once I've made them. is there something in your settings that is preventing me? From what I can see you asked if Wild Boar are new to our fauna. I think they died out in Britain 300 years ago but there is a well established wild population in the Forest of Dean dating from the 1990's that resulted originally from escapes from pig farms and also one deliberate release.
This is excellent. thank you for uploading!
+Marachime Thank you for taking the time to comment - so kind!
