Hey friends! Who else is excited to try outlining with Trello!? Excited to see how I use this same outline to create a revision plan? Make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss it!
This is fantastic. I am finding it hard to commit to one version of my story, and have way too many ideas about how things could go so it is already hard even though I am at the very beginning. I need to know the timelines of characters and how they fit with each other, what happened when in the past, in order to avoid later confusions, but now I will be able to easily drag stuff around, and even open a new board for the extra timeline stuff that I need. I can also create a junk board for any rogue ideas and see if they fit in later without cluttering the 'original' storyline. Such a creative repurposing of a simple and user friendly tool. Thank you lots and lots.
I pantsed my way through my first book. By the end of the first draft I decided to outline the next one. I saw this and decided to try it. It works so well I'll use it for all of my books. Thanks!
Same here. First book I just plotted along and it worked great. Second book now has some restrictions cast on it by the world created in the first book and that, together with work pressure, forced me to become more structured by using outlining. It saves time in the end because I can just jump into any part of the story and write instead of trying to figure out where I am and where I'm going.
Thank you so much for making this video! I love the concept of Trello, and am so excited to outline this new series with it. Fingers crossed everything works out well!
I'm using Scrivener and I love it, but using Trello for the outline is awesome because I can quickly check something without changing screens in Scrivener
This is so helpful! I've been using Trello to help keep track of all my social media and where I'm posting, plus using it as a sort of bullet journal. I never thought of using it to outline.
I hadn't thought about it either until recently! So cool, right?? I'd love to look into using Trello for tracking social media stuff too though. Do you know of any video tutorials that show how to do that most effectively?
Nice job explaining this. I am using trello for my book. BTW, if you click on a label in a card, the label description is included so you don't have to remember what it is.
This is a bit more detailed than I went, but very similar. It's a great tool :) also if you ever want a place for more in-depth worldbuilding, I highly recommend World Anvil. It's basically an easy-to-use Wikia for your worlds, and it contains a bunch of prompts and article types to really flesh everything out.

Awwwwwwww
This was great and very helpful!
I’ve tried scrivener but really don’t want to purchase, so this is a great alternative.
Thanks
Exactly! I'd love to invest in Scrivener in the future but I agree, this is a great alternative in the meantime!

Hi, does this come with any templates or outlines?
Unfortunately, *Trello* is not free. It should have a completely free section, and options for other languages.
