Dużo akcji dzieje się właśnie we Wrocławiu, historia rozpoczyna się w czasie powodzi stulecie, pokazuje historie rodzin różnych narodowości od czasów po pierwszej wojnie światowej, poprzez drugą wojnę do czasów współczesnych.
