It's totally acceptable for ANYONE to go trick or treating! If you got a costume, of course! I'm 15 and couldn't go this year unfortunately (we're in quarantine), but I'm having lots of fun in the animal crossing event! Also I'm in the southern hemisphere and typically my neighborhood is full of people from the next few cities from about 5-8pm. I usually leave around 5:30, and go until it's dark.
My last time trick-or-treating, I was actually about 20 years old. I convinced my three friends to come with me and we honestly had no problems. I think the only comment we got was 'at least you're not out drinking' or something like that. But I was just really feeling Halloween that year and DESPERATELY wanted to trick or treat and we had a lot of fun.
i was actually planning to make my next island spooky kidcore as well :00 such great inspo, i LOVE the walkway at 7:56 and how the spooky standing lamps kinda seem like they’re hanging off the archways

I started trick-or-treating in the late 70s and almost everybody went just as the sun was going down. You'd only see very small kids out before dark.
