I know these are all filmed hella in advance, but I do think that Jolly should either: • Change the 5 point answer to being extremely difficult but possible (like a random fun fact about a specific player, rather than the clue being so general that it's still a guess even with perfect knowledge) • Get rid of the "get it wrong you're frozen" rule, or • Make it so that it's instead 10 points and then it drops to 5 (or 4, both have merit- depends how much you want to encourage first hint guesses) then 3 then 2 then 1. As is, best play is to *never* guess on the 5 point round until it's mathematically impossible for you to win without doing so, since it's a total guess no matter what, it's only 1 extra point, and getting it wrong means you will most likely get zero points that round (actually negative points since it basically guarantees the other player to get at least 1 point as well). I know this is long, I'm just into game theory so it took willpower not to jot down the mathematics of perfect play lol
I'd like the freezing rules to be: - If a player guesses wrong on a hint (e.g., the 2nd hint), that player is frozen for the next hint (the 3rd hint). However, the player is allowed to guess again for the following hint if available (they can guess again on the 4th hint). - If both players guess wrong on the same hint, neither player is frozen, and the game moves on to the next hint if available.
Always feels sweet to get the guy before them. In this case, I got Jose Reyes on the 5pt. Got Morton on the 4pt. More of these please please please. I love that there's infinite players to make these on, so they'll never get old or dry.
#1: 1 point (I know they got it earlier but I guessed Bogey at 3 and wouldn't have got it until 1) #2: 4 points #3: 3 points #4: 5 points #5: 1 point (damn, really was confident at 4, 3, and 2 with this being Juan Pierre) #6: 3 points (cheeky cheeky Jolly Olive) #7: 2 points
I’m beginning to think that being locked out until the other person wants to answer is too much. What if after answering wrong, the other person can get the next hint for free, but if they don’t want to answer with that hint given, the person who answered wrong can buzz back in on the next hint
I think it’s more fun to have more frequent guesses. Why not allow 1 guess each per round, locked in on their own white boards? Could get some crazy lucky early pulls.
Knew Charlie Morton on the first hint. But that Bobby Abreu first hint seems a little miss leading to anyone who didn’t know that he was drafted and traded the same day. I only got it on the third hint because I know he won the 2005 home run derby. Also Bobby Abreu was not the first overall pick in the expansion draft. He was the 6th.
Granted, I'm a Jays fan, but I immediately said Wagner for the last clue solely because I feel like he's lost in the parade of Jays Jr ballplayers over the years.
In 2015 I was going to Toronto to see the Blue Jays and I was excited to see Jose Reyes and they he got traded for Tulo like 2 weeks before I went was kinda sad but got to see Tulo play live tho
If someone guess wrong and two new hints are given before the other makes a guess then then the other player should be allowed to guess again. Seems like common sense to me
My guesses (right or wrong) were Eric Hosmer (3 pt), Charlie Morton (4 pt), Jose Altuve (5 pt hint), Mark Buehrle (4 pt), José Reyes (4 pt), Bobby Abreu (3 pt) and Matt Holliday (5 pt)
Gausman was drafted and pitched for the Os for years...the hell are you guys talking about? He wasn't a Brave eventually but not an early Brave... and that was mid 2010s. How old do you all think he is lmfao
Right when I saw Devil Rays expansion pick clue i knew Jolly was messing with Shelfy. I literally screamed dude you already named HIM. How do you not get that one? Lol. Gotta go apologize to our guy
Happy Grape out here lying to the people... Bobby Abreu was NOT the first pick in the 1997 MLB Expansion Draft. The first player selected was actually Tony Saunders. Abreu was picked sixth.
Hey Jolly, suggestion for next time: the first clue should have an additional detail that would make it POSSIBLE to guess who it is, even if it's a very vague detail For example, the one of 10 Venezuelan players clue, it's not possible whatsoever to guess who that is without just straight up guessing (even if you knew exactly who those 10 Venezuelan players were)
@@ObscuraDeCaprai mean yeah but that's just a badly designed game if it also blocks you from guessing until the other player makes a guess: it means best play is to *never* guess on the 5 point round until it's mathematically impossible for you to win without doing so.
My Royals loving ass got Hoz on the first guess lol. Him rounding 3rd and forcing Duda to make a perfect throw in Game 5 of the 2015 WS will always be a great moment, sorry Jolly.
Was not emotionally ready for BBD to use the rizzler face on me within the first couple seconds
I don’t know if I’ll ever truly recover
Jokingly said "Mark Buehrle" on the 5 point hint. Probably would've gone for the guess after the 4 since he signed in Miami in 2012.
I said it on 5 points but not jokingly. first guy who came to mind
He only pitched in 28 games his rookie season and wasn't a starter...
6:05 I love how BBD looks like he’s getting pet by Cargo
Bobby Abreu was an Angel for 3 and a half seasons not half a season lol

both of these suggestions would improve the game so much
Congrats BBD on another dominant win!
Shelfy and Justin Penik fighting for the worst ball knower in JM baseball
at least Penik knows football (theoretically). We lost Old Man Dan and gained Shelfy. We got absolutely fleeced.
“Jake placed two new bets in our draft.” I died 💀
This is genuinely much harder than the previous “Guess the Player” episodes
Shelfy shits on Joez and then guesses Kevin Gausman, who wasn’t even in college yet in 2008 and has never pitched for the Rays.
That was a WILD guess
"he was an early Brave" even though debuted in 2013 and spent five years for the Orioles before getting traded to the Braves
Joez stinks anyways.
“I made four all star teams for five different teams” is a completely nonsensical hint, so no wonder that one didn’t help
Yeah, am I missing something here? Seems mathematically impossible
@@nbamberger both numbers are just wrong. He made 7 all star games, with 4 different teams.
@@chrisb.8758the boys forgot to fact-check themselves today, like when they claimed Abreu was the first pick in the 1997 expansion draft
Always go for the content Boggs
5:13 BBD thinks he’s sneaky
Shelfy I was SCREAMING Bobby after the expansion tip 😂

WAY BETTER now that the picture is greyscale
How about putting their running scores jolly
Agreed
The Mark Buehrle one was driving me crazy. That's the first time I've been able to tell just based off the fuzzy image
Mark Buerhle did not start 30 games every year. He was mostly a relief pitcher his rookie season. or am I missing something?
He started 30 or more games for 12 straight seasons
This threw me off too
Jose Reyes was so easy. One, Jolly, two, the years leading the league give it away too
Buehrle made only three starts in his rookie year, for what it's worth. 28 appearances, 3 starts. From 2001 on his was a horse though.
Gausman didnt get to the braves until like 5 years into his career
God job with these clues Jolly!
#1: 1 point (I know they got it earlier but I guessed Bogey at 3 and wouldn't have got it until 1)
#2: 4 points
#3: 3 points
#4: 5 points
#5: 1 point (damn, really was confident at 4, 3, and 2 with this being Juan Pierre)
#6: 3 points (cheeky cheeky Jolly Olive)
#7: 2 points

I’m shocked with my own performance here, smoked the competition

Not getting Reyes is a tough look for me lol these are fun
I nailed round 5 immediately with Jose Reyes, that's my only 5 pointer this video babyyyyy
Mark Buehrle was not a starter his rookie season and only appeared in 28 games...
I for some reason thought of Wagner after clue 1 for the last one along with Biggio.
I guessed Jose Reyes on the first hint. I was 90% sure it was him after the second one though.
I beat them to Buehrle and Reyes. Pleasently surprised
On the last round, I was fully expecting a Clay Bellinger for funsies.
I joking guessed Gary Varsho. But more seriously I thought Jeff Conine
I said Bobby Witt Sr.
I thought of Wagner jokingly but then said Biggio
Im proud of myself for getting 2 4 pointers lol. I like playing along and trying to guess before them
Ummmmmmmm is such a super star his dad is so proud!
How does one make 4 all star teams for 5 teams?
Charlie Morton was getable by the first hint and the picture
How do you make four all star teams with five different mlb teams?? Wouldn’t it be the other way around
I had Jose Reyes at 4 points. Proud of myself
At least I knee one at the 5 point marker. Joseeee
Shelfy is one of the worst hires you guys have ever made and it's not even close.
back to back 5 pts with Buehle and Reyes
In 2015 I was going to Toronto to see the Blue Jays and I was excited to see Jose Reyes and they he got traded for Tulo like 2 weeks before I went was kinda sad but got to see Tulo play live tho
That’s gotta be the Salt man. Guessing Kevin Gausman??? What on earth??
I immediately guessed the second to the last round.

My guesses (right or wrong) were Eric Hosmer (3 pt), Charlie Morton (4 pt), Jose Altuve (5 pt hint), Mark Buehrle (4 pt), José Reyes (4 pt), Bobby Abreu (3 pt) and Matt Holliday (5 pt)
Bro you can tell that’s cargo from the picture lol. That sweet lefty swing come on!
I really thought the last one was roger clemens wow
Carlos Gonzalez glaze fest. I used to pray for times like this 😩
Mark Buehrle did not make 30 starts every season of his career. He did not in his rookie season
Crazy how ya didn’t get Jose Reyes from the first hint 😢😂😂
I guessed Jose Reyes on the 5 point hint I should takeover as president of Jomboys media empire
Abreu was not the first pick of the expansion draft that was tony Saunders
Gausman was drafted and pitched for the Os for years...the hell are you guys talking about? He wasn't a Brave eventually but not an early Brave... and that was mid 2010s. How old do you all think he is lmfao

Can somebody explain how you can make 4 All-Star teams for 5 different teams?
i did know the wagner one cause he got traded this season
had reyes first guess (knowing jolly), and morton first guess
Happy Grape out here lying to the people... Bobby Abreu was NOT the first pick in the 1997 MLB Expansion Draft. The first player selected was actually Tony Saunders. Abreu was picked sixth.
I love that they show obviously the most white person ever and Shelfy guesses "Vlad Guerrero Sr."
I was screaming buehrle on the 4 points
shelfy def had to wear a mets hat for the phils loss... rip
I love Shelfy and his content… but I think it’s time to pick someone else for these competition videos
Got cargo immediately off the picture 🤓
Not using the picture is the people have been asking for
Got Reyes at 5
Got Buehrle on five pts
I didn't think of CarGo and I am ashamed.
Also gotta remember who made the quiz
should be 1 free hint/guess for a wong answer
Shelfy come on bruh lol
When are we going to stop pretending Shelfy knows ball?
I knew Jose Reyes immediately lol.
Same!
Hey Jolly, suggestion for next time:
the first clue should have an additional detail that would make it POSSIBLE to guess who it is, even if it's a very vague detail
For example, the one of 10 Venezuelan players clue, it's not possible whatsoever to guess who that is without just straight up guessing (even if you knew exactly who those 10 Venezuelan players were)
That's the exact opposite of the point of the game, which is for early hints to be risky and later hints to be basically unmissable.
@@ObscuraDeCaprai mean yeah but that's just a badly designed game if it also blocks you from guessing until the other player makes a guess: it means best play is to *never* guess on the 5 point round until it's mathematically impossible for you to win without doing so.
Maybe a player is locked out for 2 rounds before being able to come back in. More ability to guess = more content!
Bobby Abreau was so easy too. This whole game was pretty easy
My Royals loving ass got Hoz on the first guess lol. Him rounding 3rd and forcing Duda to make a perfect throw in Game 5 of the 2015 WS will always be a great moment, sorry Jolly.
These rules suck
