- Two men fishing off the coast of Florida snagged something so big they thought it was a submarine.

they have always been down there. in fact researchers tagged a large female up here, near rhode island, which they named maggie. they have tracked her all the way do the tip of florida...:)

My father and I are big game fisherman,but I must say in the pointless 3hrs they had the shark snagged did these two guys realize a great white shark is categorized as an endangered species and falls under the endangered species act. Not only is it illegal to harm the animal which you would receive heavy fines(which they might after making it public), BUT if the shark died they would have faced IMPRISONMENT. If your going to big game fish do some research on what you cant catch.

It took three hours to get to the boat...they only had it for a few minutes at the side of the boat.

No JB, I do fish. But you're a bit naive if you think that the teeth of a great white would not have cut that line. In Hawaii, we had a diver killed by a bull shark that bit clean through his tank....not buying this story hook, line and sinker.

The two fishermen said that’s a summary and with tail no that’s a great white shark and it has so many teeth it could on most grab you and pull you in the water
so you are saying they should have stuck their hands down there and tried to remove the hook? really? that was an 18 ft great white, which they did not intend to hook btw. i really dont think that they wanted to leave the hook but it was probably a lot safer than trying to get in the water with it lol this was no trout lol

they did not purposely bait an endangered animal...they were fishing...see the weird thing about fishing is most of the animals in the sea eat the same thing...they caught it by mistake....it says that in the video..and with fishing you usually do not know what you have till it gets close...that can take a long time for large fish...just saying

Instead of being all scared and frightened about that which you clearly do not understand, why not do some serious research on how endangered and important these animals are to the oceans of our world? What humans are doing to sharks on a mass scale is an atrocity on an epic scale. These animals must be protected worldwide.
That's not that big of a great white maybe in Florida but In South Africa big whites can grow up to be 29 feet long i saw one while frilled shark watching for their in habitant with other with other marine sea life like great whites
These animals deserve respect and protection from extinction. Not fear. Fear and idiotic shark fin soup has decimated shark populations in our oceans and it is clear that the full extent of the damage caused to all shark species has not been clearly understood. It could take centuries for shark species to return to previous populations as they do not reproduce easily. Given the critical role these animals play in the ecologies of our oceans and marine life, these are serious matters.

You obviously don't fish. When you fight a large fish for hours, it gets tired. Actually, very much so.
People have ended up injured because they brought a large fish in too quick, before it has tired to the point it can be (at least somewhat) safely brought in close and/or aboard. Especially fish like marlin that are notorious jumpers. You'll find a few videos of people hit and even impaled by them on Utube.

@ Henry jones jr. First of all they didn't bait an endangered animal , most large catches take a good amount of time to get in. How are you supposed to know it was a great white. Congrats to these guys what an experience it would be. This is not torture either it swam away just fine... People are so stupid. Alot worse happens out there
