It WAS meant to be original Resident Evil 3 so they put a LOT of love into this in preparation for Resident Evil 4. Main game where the knife is broken
This is my favorite Resident Evil game. This and SIlent Hill 2 are my favorite survival horror titles ever made. Those years around 2000 and 2001 is when survival horror hit its stride and these titles are proof.
+Richard Wegner This was a great game. Personally though, I do prefer the original couple of Resident Evils. I've recently heard good things about Revelations too, so I look forward to that when it comes to the PS4.
For me it's Resident Evil Remake and Silent Hill 3 tied for my top pick. My second favorites would be Silent Hill 2 and Resident Evil 2 in another tie.
Wow. Just started CVX after 10 years and felt like I wanna watch some review about it. Then I found your channel and it really blew me off. This was an excellent video because of the lenght and the info it gives (especially the history section). I'm kinda surprised you dont have any more subs or views but hey, I know the feeling. But hey dear sir you have a new subscriber! Thank you for this video, I'll see you next time cause now I'm gonna check your other videos aswell.
After playing re1 2 3 and this I think I've had my share of 5 second door transitions, tank controls, and getting hit by zombies from around the corner. I'm pretty sure in all the games it's added up to over 3 hours of watching doors open
Speaking of resource management I'm still not sure why people say this when I've completed all those games with enough ammo and healing to kill every zombie two times over, even after killing all the zombies on sight
I think the resource management is more about making the most of your limited inventory space and only carrying as few resources needed to survive as possible, while leaving enough room for key items.
@@Asgamingmoments I did notice I always had to backtrack constantly because I didn't know when or where I'd need key items, which definitely added to the annoyance of door animations since I'd have to rewatch them every time while running through empty halls (since the zombies are dead)
Since it sounds like more than likely PS3/PSP/PS Vita stores are closing. Comparing between the PS3 and PS4 version of this game. Which seems like the better version of this game?
Looks fun. Shame about the Dreamcast though. I wonder if Sega would still be selling consoles today if the Dreamcast sold well? It'd be kind of cool to have a 5th option for home gaming. Anyway that was a cool review. It's great to see another PS2 classic get released on the PS4. It could definitely use some more though.
I think that the Dreamcast didn't really stand a chance. People had either moved across to the PlayStation, or stuck with Nintendo- which both had better libraries and exclusives than SEGA could ever offer with it's Saturn. The PS2 was looming and so players were willing to wait for it's release, rather than risking getting back into bed with another SEGA console.
It's one of the best RE games. I've enjoyed it a lot.
+Dr. Johnny I agree- perhaps one of the easier titles, but still a classic.

Code Veronica is up there as one of my favourite RE games. I love the story and characters.

Agree. Veronica is the best of the tank control Era games

Really good review. I look forward to playing it on the Xbox One this month courtesy of Games with Gold.

I wonder why no one has made a fan film of this game yet, it's such a great game.
It would make a great film- I'm sure much better than the actual Resident Evil films that were made!
3:40😆😆😆
I can't breathe.

Does this play like Resident evil 1 remake or the clunky classic controls?

I think the Saturn's reputation was the reason the Dreamcast didnt sell well, even though Sega had addressed all the complaints so well :/
