You one hundred percent are correct on why people don't bother with a lot of these "campaigns". To a lot of people, it's just not that serious or they just don't see it because like you said some people just jump on for facts then leave and just try to avoid drama and move on with life. Even with the Hogwarts Legacy thing, that really depended on how much of an activist you were. Especially since a decent amount of trans people played the game while you had other people shaming you for playing the game, it was just a mess. And frankly in the end it's just a game. Yeah you might not like the person behind it, but it's not the end of the world if you play a game. And if trans people themselves are playing the game and enjoying it? Then that campaign is just BS ego boosting anyway.
