This is the biggest reason why I chose Prevail Air Overnight as my go to day diaper and even for light overnight use. Compared to every other product they were untouchable on comfort and ease of use, and have a very reasonable 8 hour capacity - sufficient such that only 1-2 changes are needed during the day.
Yeah in my experience though, I always seem to end up with a gap occuring at the leg gathers and sometimes a "pop" of the tapes deciding it has had enough holding on.
Yes, you are so very correct. Most of the hook and loop ones are very bad and consistently fail. That's why I had typically steered clear of them. These Incontrols are nearly perfect. The only thing that isn't perfect about them is the odor control. They will start to smell after maybe 10 to 12 hours of wear but I suppose that is to be expected. I have worn some types of diapers that do not give off any odor, even after sitting in a trash bin for several days. So, they could likely build in odour control of they wanted to, but maybe that's not possible with the manufacturer that they use. Other than that, I completely recommend them. Just make sure you get the right size. If they are to small on your body, the velcro can be difficult to stick in place.
I need to try either a different size or try different ways of taping them on using hook and loop. I can never get them taped right but want to try more of the tykables styles.
My experience is that according to ISO Rothwell, the diapers can actually only absorb 30%. I have tested and weighed it with different products, the Rothwell test is a big joke, like a crash test without dummies...
@@speedydiaperreviews2728 I believe that one of the things I like about a diaper is that it is very comfortable and absorbs well, once I had bad quality diapers from the supermarket and then I got a rash and then I got a virus and the situation was very complicated since then. I use very absorbent diapers because sometimes the cheap can be very expensive
Yes, correct. They just unwrap themselves. An additional tape on the back and center that points upwards would be great. Some Japanese pull ups have this. Since there is no way to secure a pull-up after use. You just pull the tape up from it's adhesive, roll the diaper up and Attach the tape to the other part of the diaper. Feminine hygiene pad wrappers also utilize a similar style of tape. So that the pads can be wrapped up tight. No one else wants to see the contents of the inside of pads and diapers, so this is actually a very smart feature.
Yes, adult onesies work great for that. Also, some woman’s clothing stores sell these things that they call body suits. If you can pick one of those up for really cheap, they work also. A bodysuit is a shirt with a snap crotch, you can’t buy them for men, hence why you must buy a female one. As strange as it may sound to do that. They do function very similar to a onesie. Just make sure you find one with a wider crotch area, something that provides enough support for a diaper.
There's other brands that use that same taping system. The hook and loop still has more cons in my opinion. There's been times that the tab gets caught on clothes. The taping panel is pretty uncomfortable against the skin as it rolls up above the legs. The fit doesn't stay very well especially when sitting, bending, and sitting up I can feel the tapes pop away, requiring multiple readjustments. The adjustments are pretty endless, but there's more in my opinion. I also rather the smoother material of a smooth taping panel, it feels less restrictive moving around in bed.
You make some great points. I would say that tapes could be more secure for sure. They are proven to work. Not many brands seem to be able to get the velcro to work right. The ones I'm wearing in the video are one of 3 types of hook and loop style that I've ever tried that I've ever had any great level of luck with.
@@speedydiaperreviews2728 I won't say that they're bad. The most important parts perform as needed. The typical medical brands are a different story. The ones with the dedicated landing zone are significantly better. I'll still wear them. I think that just need to make improvements and hopefully make that tape panel not feel like sandpaper along with making the attachment more secure.

I haven't had much luck with Hook and Loop but I haven't tried the InControl ones. I such order some to see if you're right! lol

I usually go up a size if any type of tape has trouble gripping. Unless it is a poor or cheap design that has been utilized to make the diaper.
@@speedydiaperreviews2728 thank you. I will try the next size larger. Hopefully I can get a better fit.
to me - there is nothing better than the plastic backing - don't care for the cloth-like type. 😎😎😎
This cross between the velcro technology and the plastic backing is really cool though!

@@danielschewe6284 So that’s why the iso absorbency ratings don’t make any sense. 11,000 ml as they say for some diapers. Definitely a lie.
The hook and loop fasteners always comes loose on me and I prefer the sticky tapes
Usually that's always the case. Have you tried the ones I have on in the video?
@Speedy Diaper Reviews yep and with the same results. And the VA pharmacy is getting me the plastic backed attends for now.
