This video was a huge help - these headlights are a solid upgrade, and the daytime running lights work just as you described. Thanks for taking the time to put this up and make life easier for others!
Thank you so much for this video! I arrived at the step where you replace the marker lights, and I was lost. Thanks for showing how to take the bulb out.
These do look pretty good and more original than most other aftermarket lights. With that said, you can take a microfiber cloth and some polishing compound and make your dingie faded lights look almost new again. The more you polish them the newer and cleaner they look! Try it, especially before you buy a “headlight restore kit” or new aftermarket lights. Also, oe is the gold standard and anything else is generally of lesser quality
I bought these headlights and installed them yesterday and am not sure if I did it correctly. Is the Halo LED bar supposed to be on when you have your headlights turned off and just your daytime running lights (DRL) on? Because my lights do not do that and I am not sure if that’s how they are or not. Any tips will hep thanks!
So none of the second gens have a DRL switch. These run off the maker lights so first click on the lights! But if you wanted them to run on the ignition you’d have to run a relay
The main bulb is still halogen though, they should make them all LED, if your gunna pay that kinda money. Brand new OEM headlights with LED bulbs look pretty damn good as a cheaper alternative. Those DTRL look sick though.
So one housing is a "projector" and one is a standard reflector housing. I'm assuming the high-beam is the inner housing? Have you looked at what bulbs are in both housings?
ArbitraryLifestyle So the projector is the low beam with a nice cut off and the inner is the high which is why it’s just ran open reflector but ya bro they are both the same bulb H1
Jim Taylor Thanks bro they are definitely an upgrade and the chrome would look great too I just liked the black more but I don’t feel you could go wrong either way
Can you make a video on that as well? I wanted to do a retrofit at first. These housings look awesome but most aftermarket housings are pre wired with H1’s. The warranty doesn’t really concern me.

Ok so I have similar headlights but my question is if I install leds will the led strip inside still run or do I have connect them to the end of the led?
I would imagine they're the same, if not less. You're still using a halogen bulb unfortunately. ZachAttackH Zachattackh Ya if you run it as is I’d say the cut off is the only performance benefit you will get. These headlight housings come stock with halogen bulbs and perform the same as your oem housings so out of the box your not really getting a performance upgrade more aesthetic than anything that angry look as you would say but you can choose to change the bulb setup like I did to run LEDs or HIDs the only thing is that it does void the warranty because those tend to run a bit hotter that’s why they don’t sell it with that option but honestly I’ve been running HIDs in them with zero issues the performance is great and they look amazing
@@AshtonRegier They really do look great. Im looking to buy these headlights, a trd pro grille, and install some fogs into mine, because it was a base model and didnt come with them. I think it will make it look way better.
Matt Swindler Oh ya it will make a huge difference I love the way these look at not too many people are running them so it sets you apart something I also love you got the list going and that’s something that never ends haha well good luck bro
You saved my bacon. I had no idea what to do about the green and black wires with the little red harness.
Mine don’t connect . Do I have to get an adapter?
