    Enjoyed that
    The tree is unrecognisable from how it was when coming from eBay
    It now looks like a much more expensive tree

    Great Video/Update on this tree Corin, it's amazing how a tree can develop in such short time. Nice work m8ty thanks for sharing

    Corin’s ability to give a running commentary as he works not only makes the videos more interesting and informative but also I find that by attempting it myself while working on a tree it helps me focus on the objective.

    Would be great to see this tree later on too, if the owner is ok with that. I appreciate the ugly duckling starts - they really help for the trees that I personally work on most!

      Yes the owners are regular customers so it will return. So we can follow it’s progress

      @@greenwoodbonsaistudio Brilliant - it is a great way to embrace that all things do not happen over night. In an otherwise busy world, having patience is a humbling and good thing to nurture.

    The trees trunk filled out nicely. Do you think in the future as it gets bigger it could be a problem growing into the driftwood ?

  • @robinpashley1956
    @robinpashley1956 Год назад

    Brilliant as always, Thank you. One question .. Is the bog wood likely to constrict the trunk and continue the narrow trunk development in future?

    • @greenwoodbonsaistudio
      @greenwoodbonsaistudio  Год назад +1

      I think we'll just keep an eye on it so its not tight, I can carve some away in future if needed.

    Enjoyed this video and wondered just how late you would do this sort of pruning on cedars? Would you put it in a cold frame or is it fine in the Nottinghamshire / Lincolnshire climate :)

    Wonder what happened to the Omorika Spruce you did at Christmas? I see Sainsbury's have similar back in stock.

    Which kind of soil is better for cedar tree? And the best period for collecting from the nature? Tnx

    Thank you for the update - love updates! I'm a totally great fan of your work, and these videos. However, and I feel bad saying this but I guess I'm compelled to, you used the phrase, "A little Bit" ten times at least in the first five minutes. I know you are doing an informal dialogue in these pieces, but this is a pet peeve of mine that I notice from many youtube artists. I only hope you might take the constructive criticism as it is, and not take offence, because to me you are an outstanding artist. Sorry!

    I think the bottom left branch has to big a pad. It brings the whole tree out of balance.

      Well yes and no, its a video about making a bonsai from standard garden centre stock, bought blind from Ebay. Showing what can be achieved. Of course plants grown for bonsai or hand selected will be better, but that wasn't the point of this project.
