ICONIC Australian Fishing / BIG Barramundi LAND BASED anyone can do it! That's What WE Came for!

Meter Plus BARRAMUNDI, the icon of Australian FISHING!
On a STINKING HOT February day, we headed up the river. To a place we should NOT be able to get to this time of the year.
Due to the lack of RAIN, we drove tracks that should be covered in water, over a lake that should be black soil muddy flood plains, to a river that should be busting over its banks.
Due to the lack of rain, we got there easily. Due to the HEAT, we struggled with the fishing part. Due to JOHNNO'S good fishing skills, WE landed a Metre PLUS Barramundi!!!
Drove the CF Moto Uforce800 over the West Kimberly MARSH to get to the May River. 40c temp with super HIGH humidity. Run around in the HOT dark river mud to get LIVE BAIT. Found a shady tree to park under.
Had 1x rod & 1x handline each to fish with.
Karen LOST her big fish straight away.
Couple of beers later Johnno LANDED this beautiful big girl 103cm.
Back in the metre club.

OMBarra what a horse y'all. Though was kinda expecting to see a big croc surface at any moment and make a lunch of y'all down in the mud and water like that. Very sketchy as y'all aussies are inclined to say.
