Hey! It depends! I was on the second floor which i really liked because I didn't have to walk all the way up the stairs every day (the elevators are usually busy)!

Is there any hall with studio-type rooms (at least the kitchen inside it)? Where do you cook food for yourself?
some residence buildings have little kitchens in the common room!! There are often microwaves around for smaller things and you can keep a fridge for yourself , but it’s hard to make big meals ! Some residence buildings like Mcneil house (and I’m sure a couple others I just don’t know which ones exactly) have an oven and a stovetop! i was in Victoria hall and they didn’t though :(

Do you get to pick your room mates?
I did! There’s a couple options for that - random roommate selection or you can choose! I made a whole video about it and it’s going up next week! Stay tuned !
Which building do most first year nursing students live in?
it varies! I do think there’s something called LLCs (leadership learning communities) and one of the types of LLC is nursing , so when choosing residence you can select the nursing LLC and you will be placed on a floor in a building with other nursing students !
Which residence building would you recommend a first year?
it depends on what you’re looking for! if you’re looking for a party / social residence I’d say Victoria hall, but if you want something with a personal room , private bathroom is recommend brant or Albert! All depends on what you’re looking for ! Posting a video tomorrow talking about that :)
