People can ship whoever they want. But looking back on the series again, a lot of us realized their relationship wasn’t really romantic. The story had presented octus, illana and lance trying to act as a family as a cover, but over the course of the series, that’s what they became, they all began to see each other as brothers and sisters. Lance hated the king(illanas dad)for trying to replace his father, but ever since he arrived to earth, and actively started bonding with octus and illana, Lance began to realize the king wasn’t try to replace his father, he was just stepping up to be there for lance now that he had no one. So when he realized illana was now in his situation, terribly homesick, and overheard her say how much she wished to have that dance with her father, Lance understood he needed to step up and help comfort illana by doing what her father would have done and given her that little dance, something illana greatly appreciated.
@@MrsDragonChef there wasn’t anything really romantic about that scene. It was a conversation between Octus, Ilana and Lance over experiencing normal things like dating. Ilana had never had a boy, who was romantically interested in her, tell her she was pretty, it was a unique feeling and Lance did not consider himself as someone who would give Ilana that experience, because he did not feel that way about her. Octus concluded on his own that Lance might have thought Ilana was ugly, but Lance knows Octus just misunderstood. At the end, when Ilana says she will go on date as soon as they went back home, both Lance and Octus were just happy to know Ilana was willing to have that experience. As to who Ilana went on a date with, it wasn’t Lance, it was likely the only boy the show had shown to be interested in her, Jason.
I agree they had more of a brother/sister relationship when they came to earth but when S2 was gonna come out, and hope it will lol they just need funding and a new network, the relationship was gonna involve more romantic
Omg, I ship it. There's not much romantic moments between the two, but you can feel the closeness and how they care about one another. I would love to see these two together. It's like "Will they, won't they".
It's because CN cancelled the show for BS reasons. The idea that this gem of a show got aced while other shows like Teen Titans Go managed to exist for several seasons is a crime. Genndy Tartakovsky is an artistic genius. He said this show was even more difficult to draw than Samurai Jack and he was very proud of it. Maybe it'll get a continuation someday.🤞😬🤞
@@polarfandubyes because they were more than one opportunities for them to be a ship but I’m glad they became more of a brother and sister relationship and let’s not forget Ilana has Jason and lance has Kristen hopefully we will see what it turns out to be if the series ever comes back

Anyone else almost see a pattern with these 2 that they similar character designs/appearances to Samurai Jack & Ashi in which Genndy is the Creator of both?
@@jakenewberg1233 only ilana is similarly designed to Ashi due to her hair. Lance had no connection to the characters in samurai jack, Genndy has his own unique style which can be identified in his work alone, other series he made are Primal and Unicorn:warriors eternal.
Actually Lance is wearing a similar design while wearing a suit & then a hat a lil. much like Jack was wearing on Episode 5 of Season 5 while showing Ashi the truth
