I am not 100% sure, but I think you have to live in China to get the box or pay extra for it. It was taped up well so when it rained, very little moisture got through.

Hi, AliExpress, but the store I purchased it from no longer seems to be there. I'd recommend choosing a store that has high volume of orders filled and great ratings from purchasers.
You do not have a choice. Lego does not make a UCS Venator (as far as I know as of 12/20/18). Lepin put theirs together from a MOC published by Anio. If you do buy the set, maybe consider sending him a little something as I do not think Lepin is compensating him for his design.
I looked on Aliexpress and it would seem the store no longer exists. Their are others offering the set but I can not speak to their reputations. WhenI went to purchase, I looked for 98+ rating from several buyers. I always recommend reading reviews (for what the are worth) before buying.
Your video is very helpful mate, I’m nearly finished my Lepin frustrator. ..I had to make some weaker magnets I got on amazon, pressed them in to several 3 x 2 blocks and they did the job far better...Lepin does suck...
Given the quality of the pieces and issues with the instructions/build experience, would you recommend this set for the money they're asking? From what I've seen, it's at least $230 and that's quite steep for a fake lego set.
Yes. $230 is less than I paid shipped to US. It's less than you would have to pay to part out on your own most likely and you do not have to do all that work. Figure another $5-$15 for additional parts to make modifications I made. If it were Lego, I imagine it would be at least double that. Good luck.
Studs McSnap thanks for your reply and for the informative video! One last question tho, is it worth it to spend an extra 30€ for Anios instructions, or is it easy enough to modify the instructions provided and figure it out?
I used the included Lepin instructions because I felt that the pieces would be there and sorted as indicated. From what I gather, Anio's instructions are a little different (IIRC there was a time-lapse video for parts of it) and may need additional pieces. Also they probably would not sync up with Lepin's numbered bags. Regardless of how you go, IMO and if you have the means, send something to Anio for his efforts if you do not buy his instructions. I sent him $20 USD via PayPal but did not buy his instructions. Also I know the video is a little long and dry, but I do note through out what changes I made and parts needed. Most should be in the Placards so scrub to those to make it quicker. I'd watch each segment before building to prepare and what to expect to make your building experience better than mine and less time consuming. GL
Hello, this set looks awesome and not that exspensive. However, I don't know if Lego will ever produce their own and I also try to avoid supporting Lepin as they steal from designers without consent. What would you recommend doing? Should I buy it? Thanks.
Really sorry for delayed response. That is your call. I feel the same as you, but in this case this was not a lego design. I did choose however to send $25.00 ANIO (the designer) via paypal to kind of say thank you for the design. I felt that was fair and I feel no guilt for purchasing.
My way at seeing this is I plan on buying this set AND the instructions from anio so I can properly build the set and properly compensate him for the design which lepin totally didnt do
I did. it was one of my other videos. ruclips.net/video/t-5V2mqGSeI/видео.html It has travelled to a few shows. But I will say it could probably use a little more tweaking attaching to frame. It doesn't like being carted over rough or bumpy sidewalks. If I carry in a box, it holds fine.
This was actually a MOC by an individual I have forgotten his name. I do mention it in the video. Like aaradorn stated, I do not think they have the endorsement of the designer. So I sent $25 via PayPal to compensate him.
IIRC, original designer sold or sells his instructions, and you can brick link the parts. It was $1,200US IIRC. Now that I built LEPIN one years ago, had I had the money, I might have gone that route. I did compensate designer though.
I am a set person myself (though it seems most Lego fans are in it for figures). That said, nice looking figures are always... well... nice to have also.
I think its cool as hell that we can get this knockoff stuff way WAY vheaper then the originals.....hell, Lego dont even make kits for some of this stuff
The moral of the story here is that Lepin sucks ass and Lego is king when it comes to quality of sets and pieces. However if you are looking for an alternative to Lego, I suggest you pick Mould King. Unlike Lepin, Mould King's set and piece quality are equal to Lego. I recently built the 11,885 piece Mould King Imperial Star Destroyer, and I have to say that the quality of the bricks and the build itself blew me away.
I agree. I like the Pirate ships. I also agree about LEGO comment. I only but non-Lego sets that are not done by LEGO. Sorry Lego, but Mould King Pirate ships are better. (though I heard over last few days while catching up here that they stole them MOC designers which I am disappointed to hear) Sorry for the waaaay overdue response
All I can say is this, if Lego ever decides to do a UCS Venator, I'll be one of the first in line. And while we are at it, add a UCS Ghost to that wish list.
Studs McSnap this^. I doubt lego ever makes this ship, but if they do it will cost 800$+ (if you account fir rising lego prices every year, by the time this set would cone out it could cost $1000+)
I would guess no more that 800-ish. I think the set was 5500-6000 pieces (I didn't personally count). But on the plus side, it wouldn't need to be modified and would probably be engineered to hold up better. Especially the main engines, I still have issues when transporting. They always need to be readjusted some. I wonder if built according to setechnic's instructions (they differ from Lepin's) if it is more solid. Anyone build as designed?
Yes, I know. My first go at RUclips and using a 4S. Sorry. I am not a professional youtuber. I just felt it might be useful as I was looking for something similar prior to buying mine. Wasn't looking to earn any rewards. Again, my apologies for the shaky camera work.

GL
From Lego it would be like $700 lepin are still charging a good price for what it is
Hello, this set looks awesome and not that exspensive.
My way at seeing this is I plan on buying this set AND the instructions from anio so I can properly build the set and properly compensate him for the design which lepin totally didnt do
Did you ever fix the engines?
I did. it was one of my other videos.

It has travelled to a few shows. But I will say it could probably use a little more tweaking attaching to frame. It doesn't like being carted over rough or bumpy sidewalks. If I carry in a box, it holds fine.
So you took a LEPIN set from a stolen MOC design to a LEGO show?
Is this the one from Wish?
Hi and Soz for delay. Didn't think anyone would watch these. Nope, i do not believe so.
What website did you order This from?
aliexpress
Well it’s coming in like 2 months hope it works fine
Does it ? I have it in for three days now.
I can only assume you have built it by now. I hope it went well. So sorry for the horrendously delayed response.
Lego: *makes a Lego Star Wars set*
Lepin: wow this is really good idea not from Lego at all we need to make this!
Lego never made this set, it's a moc, granted the rights have been stolen but not from lego themselves
This was actually a MOC by an individual I have forgotten his name. I do mention it in the video. Like aaradorn stated, I do not think they have the endorsement of the designer. So I sent $25 via PayPal to compensate him.
I love Star plan such good movies
LOL
How can i get it????
Just buy the lego version idiot
I am a horrible person. I do not check this account all that often. I am guessing you have figured it out by now, but I purchased it on AliExpress.
Lego Does not make this set. it was a MOC
Nice vid
Thank you. I know its a bit jittery, but I hope it helped.

Man now i am glad i didnt get bag 13 XD
It's been a while so I am not exactly sure what that means. Anyway, sorry for the way overdue response.
wow there not selling a poor quality direct copy of a lego set
No but they're selling a poor quality direct copy of a lego moc.
IIRC, original designer sold or sells his instructions, and you can brick link the parts. It was $1,200US IIRC. Now that I built LEPIN one years ago, had I had the money, I might have gone that route. I did compensate designer though.
I don't care figures I only for the ship
True you bought the set for the ship not figures
@@endangeredmexican9644 no not I want one but I can't afford it right now maybe in a few months I will I bought poes x wing
I am a set person myself (though it seems most Lego fans are in it for figures). That said, nice looking figures are always... well... nice to have also.
This is why Lepin f**ked up
Kinda, yeah.
This was a moc by some one
Yes. Aniomylone I believe.
It looks like amios
I believe it was taken from Anio's design
Hi😆
hi back
I think its cool as hell that we can get this knockoff stuff way WAY vheaper then the originals.....hell, Lego dont even make kits for some of this stuff
Hi, Lego never made one in a UCS scale unfortunately.
Even if it’s not official Lego the building experience and the satisfaction of finishing it are all genuine
Ostracized searched it and basically it means. Exclude (someone)from a society or group
I know I am very late in responding but thank you for clarifying.
Buy this set for your kids who love LEGO it will distract them for a good while
If I got this I’d keep it until I die
one caveat. It was on of the harder sets to build because of the reworking. But the result is very nice.
LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO LEGO
Looking forward to this vid , but I am dissapointed by the camera work , wobbling all over , sorry but it really put me off . Cheers anyway
Yes, I know. My first go at RUclips and using a 4S. Sorry. I am not a professional youtuber. I just felt it might be useful as I was looking for something similar prior to buying mine. Wasn't looking to earn any rewards. Again, my apologies for the shaky camera work.
Studs McSnap I thought the information was more important, good video
Where did you bought it?
Hi and Soz for delay. Didn't think anyone would watch these. Aliexpress. I selected a store that had sold several set and had a higher rating. Unfortunately, I do not recall the name of the store
