Sneha Khanwalkar is not only a music composer but a music researcher as well...She researches the landscape, the environment, or the ambience on which the film is set and composes accordingly to the needs of the background of the movie..In this movie she nailed it, very sad when I see that not many production houses or music labels gives her the chance to compose for movies..I am sure she will provide top notch music even for romantic movies where music plays a key role in dragging audiences to the theatres..She is multitalented..! Sad that we appreciate so less of her works or Bollywood gives so less chance to her.

The Nawazuddin monologue at around 1:27:00 is both chilling and awe-inspiring. From his narration, one would imagine that Nawaz ceases to be Nawaz in that moment and exists as a psychotic killer. He is not wearing Faizal's mask over himself but ACTUALLY BEING Faisal. It would be a struggle (read identity crisis) for me to live so many different lives and still being me when the camera switches off. Truly bone chilling! Kudos to these committed, crafty actors.

There was an actor called Raghuvaran, who has acted in several South Indian movies. Sadly he's no more.
Many directors who'd worked with him had told that he suffered with the same till the scene finishes. Only difference is he used to behave as such in the set during the whole time he was there in the set. He again had to go back and behave differently on another set. So, to not lose the momentum and nature of the character he used to behave as if he's really done those things written in the script and the story. Trust me he'd played several psycho and bad villian roles and he's quite popular for such roles. Acting needa so much attention, self control, patience, observance and too many other elements ranging from minute to giant emotions. It's chilling and amazing at the same time.

Indian movie industry dont yet know which movies to send to Oscars. America doesnt want to see a copy of their own kind of movie like Barfi! Barfi is literally an inspiration of so many American movies.
They want something native and represents India like - GOW 1 and 2.

    • @rvpmetallica

The fucking big stars just want their own movies to be sent. I am pretty sure the FFI committee is a fucking joke and a bunch of fucking losers who get money from these stars to send their movies. So even if by a miracle an Indian movie gets nominated or wins they want the big stars of Indian cinema out there in Hollywood. What a fucking joke of marketing.

Granted Sholay was not a masala film at the time of it's release but all of masala films are derived from Sholay. But it's not the case with GoW, one can definitely enjoy this anytime. No greater award in this world could ever prove the importance of this film. Gangs of Wasseypur is deep into anybody’s life. You simply cannot forget not even a scene, character or a dialogue or music or whatsoever. This is desirable for any movie lover.
