This was a good video but what stood out the most for me was 11:58-12:00 when he said “500k-1 million people”. One of the big questions that I was always stuck on was how many users does it takes for an app to be considered as possibly the next big “thing”. I never found a good answer until now.
Of course how many DAUs is more important than the total amount of users.

Hoffman,? The man just says whatever George Soros tells him to say. Hoffman And George Soros are business partners in everything together.
Reid and George Soro’s have formed news media propaganda Machine learning to try and get into small towns newsletters and newspapers.
Hoffmans goal is to have all local TV stations be filtered through him and George Soros opinions.

That core question about whether or not ppl want this new reality is golden because so many entrepreneurs never ask that question

It's crazy that people actually thought Linkedin is a bad idea even though it's something everyone needs. No matter which industry. It's an idea that I would almost label a no-brainer for investors because it's super scalable - like Facebook for entrepreneurs

It's possible that the qualities Reid describes only seem paradoxical because we haven't identified the root cause-effect relationships that underly success, yet. Typically, when there's a seeming paradox, the next proper question to ask is "is this really a paradox, or is there something we don't understand (a confounding variable) that's running the show?"

Clear example of a pre-covid era presentation - slides on but no ‘zoom’ to show Reid simultaneously

It's crazy how people who are asking questions are too worried about sounding smart than actually asking questions with value.

Basically, startups are games of paradox.

How to, why, wrong right, good bad. Maybe.
What we, humans, are looking for is an access to to what we don't know that we don't know and this format of a lecture inherently is 'subsuboptimal'.

Did my man really just incorrectly use the word panopticon instead of panoply then pat himself on the back for it?

You know when the mind virus has truly taken hold when even the icons of the capitalist system can't go through a presentation without a little head nod to woke ideology. Congratulations comrades!
