- living alone in seoul ep.29 - I share about one of the hardest things about living in korea for me recently. living alone in a foreign country has it's fair share of challenges - some of which I've shared throughout my videos - but most of my hardships surround questions I have about my future/next steps/career. I wanted to take time to document some of the thoughts I've had in this season of my life.
On another note, this episode includes footage from my daily life in seoul. I show you what a night out in apgujeong looks like (dinner, shopping, fancy dessert, night at a hip hop lounge + me playing darts for the very first time hehe). I also get to experience my very first baseball game EVER. I a, not one to get into sports and be invested and shout but I had such an amazing time at this korean baseball game because the energy from the crowd was amazing!!! It was so much fun chanting and dancing with the crowd! As per usual, can't let the night end there so we go to karaoke, followed by some more drinking. I show you my second time getting my nails done (this time in Suwon) and also me going to a woosung concert even though I don't know who he is. I decided to go because a friend had asked and I thought it'd be fun just for the experience and vibes!

Hi! I binge watched all your videos when I subscribed and I have thoroughly enjoyed your journey. I'm over 60 years old and I understand how you're feeling. But believe me, when you look back on this part of your life you are never going to regret doing the things you wanted to do. Those will be the memories you cherish most. Someone replied that there are people who are probably jealous of your lifestyle, and I agree. Especially if they're not living the life they want. Your "normal" life is doing what makes you happy. Your heart will tell you when it's time to switch paths. Enjoy! Looking forward to more videos. ❤
Aw thank you so much for your words of wisdom Marcia 🥺 your comment is so encouraging and comforting! Thank you for your kindness and your support 💕

Soooo relatable. Been living away from family for several years now and I'm living my best life but it does not feel great to miss the milestones. We could all use this reminder from time to time. We are all on different paths and that's okay.
For sure 😖 it’s hard to balance living for yourself and still being connected to your loved ones
Don't feel guilty about the things youre missing. Im pretty sure others are jealous of your current life too! Being able to live in Korea and all that. I know I certainly am hahaha. I think the most important thing is to listen to yourself and make sure that you enjoy what you are doing. Every life is unique. Your happiness is what matters.
Ohmy thank you so much for your kind words 🥺 really appreciate it!!! 💕
man i cried so hard when you were talking about missing out on things and is this really my life. I got told once that i shouldn't compare my life to others or be sad that everyone else is married, having kids etc, we all move at our own pace and I'm still trying to learn that about myself and b okay with it.
Awwww 🥺🥺 yes comparison is a thief of joy! I hope you continue to find peace in knowing that we all run our own course and that we will never miss what’s meant for us 💕

Great video Delia 🙂
Love hearing about your thoughts about living in Korea
thank you for watching 😇
I've spent my entire weekend binging all your videos and I agree with the other comments - I'm also working a corporate job and ticked other "milestones" in life but what makes me the most happiest is travelling, meeting new people and enjoying new experiences! I also plan to move to korea as well so your videos have been an inspiration - love all the way from Australia!!
Aw thank you so much for watching my videos!! I’m happy to hear that you know what makes you the happiest! I hope you get to keep doing those things 😇
Nice video. I like it. 👍
Thank you ! 😇
Honestly your thoughts and worries are totally valid, and it's very normal to fall into the "what if I was over there with my friends and family instead of here?" But at the end of the day, although I don't really know your exact reasoning for moving away to Korea bc it's my first time here, if you've decided for yourself that this is what you want to try--and also being able to follow through is a great feat.
In my opinion I think it's better to look at these things from a more personal standpoint. Yes, you might be "missing" things with people who are close to you, but you're also making a journey and memories for yourself, and paving the path that you feel right now is the one for you. Not to say that this won't change in the future, but I think taking these worries one step at a time is the best way to go about it. Otherwise, you risk falling into a maze of alternate pathways you could have taken, and end up doubting your decisions extra hard. Chin up, love! If what you're doing right now (travelling, going to concerts, learning a language, visiting cafes and living life somewhere so far from your comfort place) is what brings you joy in this moment, I think you should stick with it until you feel otherwise. No choices are ever easy, and frankly, you've taken a huge leap of faith to be so far away from what you know is familiar--and that in itself is something to be proud of! There are always going to be bumpy roads ahead, and you may feel like things are crashing down on you, but to be honest, none of us ACTUALLY know what we're doing and if we've made the "right" decisions, so, I would say try not to beat yourself up over it too much. Take it at a pace you feel most comfortable:) Lots of love!
wow thank you so so so much for your kind words!! 🥺 im so touched and encouraged - and you're right. I love the life I live right now as well as the experiences I get to have. just gotta remind myself that and seize every moment of this period where I am apart from friends and family 💕
two parts to my comment so it will be long 😂 first, I’m jealous Woosung sang ILYSB at the concert - that wasn’t on his set list (nor was Oh) when he came to Calgary with Epik High 🥺😭
second lol coming from someone who’s been wanting to spend at least a year living abroad while still in her 20s, I admire you for taking such a huge step in life! I’m currently putting that thought on hold cause life tied me down to a mortgage, so I’m stuck with that commitment right now lol 😂🥲
it’s nice to live vicariously through the fun times and to know some struggles you face there, cause we all know, not everything is rainbows and butterflies 🙃 but like you said in the video, live for your own life!! although you may be living apart from friends and family, I’m sure everything is still facing problems there too!
not everyone can have the experiences they hope to have, or some people just don’t take that chance.. We each have our own path in life, and we never know what we’ll be faced with! Just continue with doing whatever makes you feel content, God is definitely working up a great path for you in life! 😌✨
HAHA im so sorry to hear about ILYSB!!! i'm glad you got a chance to see him perform tho!
🥺 and thank you for words of encouragement!! you're right, there's pros and cons to everything and it's up to us to choose how we want to see things and live. I honestly am very thankful for this ability to live abroad 💕 thank you thank you thank you ~~
