6:18 why? Like can someone explain this to me? 😂 For me, a 24 Pin Cable is a 24 Pin Cable. What are the differences between the brands and why can't I use corsair cables on an EVGA Power Supply?
@@adamfcplm I agree with Bryan... If you take a set of cables from one fully modular power supply and place it next to another you will notice, that most of the brands if not all, literally will not even fit on another power supply, because the individual pin plugs are keyed (shaped) differently on purpose so you don't fry your system trying that. Do I think they should make it a standard, so you CAN do that??? Yes, I do, but I also know that it will likely never happen. There are ways around that, by possibly mapping out your wire colors and switching your plugs, but I would not recommend it for most people as it can be hard and/or time consuming... Not to mention the fact that if the new cable, or the old uses cable covers, you might not even see the colors of the cables, an end up again frying something... You can see why it's easier to have custom length cables built on CableMod.com, or else just using the cables that come with the replacement power supply
I have a first gen Corsair One Pro I'm progressively swapping parts in and out of for fun. Upgraded from the 400w PSU to 600w (and soon to 750w), flipped the PSU for better airflow, put in a Noctua fan on top, installed a Asrock Z390 Phantom Gaming itx with a 8600k and plan to switch over to Air Cooling to see what happens there. Corsair really should sell this as a case on it's own it really isn't much harder to work in then other SFF cases. Also the pricing on the gen2 series here is just ridiculous.
4 years in the future I picked up some of these for cheap and have been having fun playing around with them. The i160 with 9900k/2080ti is still pretty decent. I also have a Corsair One Pro with the 8700k/1080 combo. One thing I noticed is the Pro has a larger CPU radiator than the i160. Im thinking about doing a new build with these using a 13600k and the larger CPU radiator. I already have an extra SF750 lawing around from a previous build. I can reuse the 2080ti but I might see if I can make a 40 series GPU work with the little corsair radiator. Most likely need to undervolt both. I really like these little towers lol.

Hey Jayz. In the episode you said that MSI and Gigabyte have the worst BIOS's. Is it possible you could elaborate more on your opinion on what makes a quality BIOS's in a video?

So my thoughts on the frequency issue is that there is usually a power saving feature that will let the cpu run at a lower frequency under low load, I suggest you try your test again while running prime and see if the cpu doesn't run at the oc you are trying to achieve- if the frequency is running at either the oc or the frequency you're observing, then I think this is definitely what's happening, but it won't affect performance.
I've had my Corsair One (i7-8700K/GTX 1080) for about a couple weeks now, and have been thinking of what kind of upgrades I could do to it. Looking forward to more vids with this!
PSA: Corsair does have a 750 watt Standard SFX PSU now (SFX = 100mm Depth SFX-L = 130mm Depth) (Same pinout as the SF600 but has 1x extra PCIe port and 1x extra SATA port) (CORSAIR ONE PRO i180 uses the SF750 in fact, model Jayz has is the i160 with SF600 PSU) www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/Power-Supply-Units-Advanced/SF-Series/p/CP-9020186-NA
Coat the case in chrome, and make it a monolith. Either chemical bath (easy), or spray it. With of course the 3k rpm fan and a Titan. Or you can build a rig to keep the sides in a gullwing style, and add even more fans for maximum cooling and rgb.
Jay make a faux minecraft water loop. LCD light up behind colored blocks as valves open and close a small separate fish pump put it on the side it would be stylin
I had the same problem with an Asus board dropping the MHz back to low speeds after an oc. Turns out I needed to use the XMP2 profile to override the default intel oc. I think MSI has the same issue--it's so Intel can say the chip has a lower watt rating--until YOU choose to overclock it. Hope this helps.
I like the idea of stripping it down and polishing it up. It would be pretty awesome to see this in a shined up gun metal finish -- would add some depth to the case (even though the case itself is pretty interesting to look at).
Hi Jay what would be very cool is actually combining all the ideas you mentioned in the video and then some. Lets say change the PSU to the SFX SX800-LTI with custom cables, GPU to the RTX Titan, custom loop cooling both CPU & GPU, change the MOBO to the ROG Strix Z390-i (modding will be required), Samsung SSD 970 EVO NVMe M.2 2TB & 860 EVO 4TB SSD (2 if possible) and the Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC Noctua for the fan, buuuuut if the case has enough space try the Delta PFM1412DEB7V (140X38MM). Also you remove the black paint off the case, have all brushed aluminum panels and laser engrave your channel logo on the case. That would be awesome.
You can get up 35 to 38c if vacuum seal the gap under the cpu radiator and allowing only the psu air to get out.... Dont forget to vacuum seal the side... Trust me i did this and i got great result
So I just got a Corsair One Pro i200 and it looks very similar. I was able to put two more M.2 NVMe in it but it took removing the video card, not the cooler, just some screws and cables. I forgot to add the SATA SSD though but mine does not have a SATA drive already so I will do it some day. I want to see if I can change the RTX 2080 TI with a RTX 5000
One of my biggest questions from the previous generation of the Corsair One was the use of the MSI motherboard. I'm quite happy to see that the components in this unit are standard and upgradeable. I do love the style of the form factor that uses the natural process to help the heat clear the system. I hope we get to see you do some more play with this system and see how much performance you can get out if it! And to see a custom job using the case would be fantastic. How does the performance compare to your Loque system?
I have no issues with my Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon, overclocked my 8600k to 5ghz and it's always between 4995 - 5002mhz, but i'm new to overclocking, i just used a video from MSI on how to overclock with the exact same mobo/cpu i got and used that as guideline, went surprisingly easy, got it stable at 5ghz first try and 5.2ghz in 2 tries. Guess i just got lucky with mine
Making it white would be cool. And the top LED would show more. Or brushed aluminum. Those are my favorite case colors. Doing one of those with an airbrush blue/green fade from bottom to top would be slick. Or solid colors, either or. Also, I just built an entry-level R220g system for myself and got a msi b450m bazooka motherboard, and its great except for trying to OC. I haven't built a system in like 10 years, and it's almost more annoying trying to figure out how to navigate their bios than things were back then lol. NOW you tell me!
You could replace the PSU with a Corsair SF750. Same cables, higher wattage and 80 PLUS Platinum. I have an SF600 in my build and it is pretty phenomenal.

PSA: Corsair does have a 750 watt Standard SFX PSU now (SFX = 100mm Depth SFX-L = 130mm Depth) (Same pinout as the SF600 but has 1x extra PCIe port and 1x extra SATA port) (CORSAIR ONE PRO i180 uses the SF750 in fact, model Jayz has is the i160 with SF600 PSU)

Coat the case in chrome, and make it a monolith.
Either chemical bath (easy), or spray it.
With of course the 3k rpm fan and a Titan.
Or you can build a rig to keep the sides in a gullwing style, and add even more fans for maximum cooling and rgb.
That spook scene at 9:22 is forever bound with the MGS alert tone now.
Removing the anodization would be cool, especially if you added some kind if dark, matte accent like Corsair-esque lines.
Jay make a faux minecraft water loop. LCD light up behind colored blocks as valves open and close a small separate fish pump put it on the side it would be stylin
Mod the hell out of it! I think silverstone have a 800w SFX-L PSU for your Titan btw.
That would be awesome.
jay, you know what to do, because we both hate and love you at the same time, do a custom watercooling loop, it's what you do
You could get the Corsair SF750 for a powersupply upgrade. Same cables etc.
Change the board! Change the board! Change the board! DO IT JAY!
Jay, OCCT is an AVX workload, and you said that you have been playing with AVX offset, maybe thats why CPU runs @4.5ghz.
Jay, if you want a higher wattage PSU you could swap it with a SF750 and you wouldn't need to change the cables.
Mod all of it, motherboard, GPU, PSU, sanding/polishing outside. Just go all out!
Strip all the paint and use chrome plating on all exterior parts. It will be one of the kind PC whit mirror like finish.
Strip the whole thing down and do a dark gun metal grey with some blue LEDs somewhere. Also good video.
You can get up 35 to 38c if vacuum seal the gap under the cpu radiator and allowing only the psu air to get out.... Dont forget to vacuum seal the side... Trust me i did this and i got great result
Interesting. I picked up one of these for cheap recently to play with. I might give that a try.
I’m all for a different paint job and for the ASUS Motherboard. Other than that, with the new fan, it’s a beast and doesn’t need anything further imo
Wrapped cables in there would be sooooo satisfying
So I just got a Corsair One Pro i200 and it looks very similar. I was able to put two more M.2 NVMe in it but it took removing the video card, not the cooler, just some screws and cables. I forgot to add the SATA SSD though but mine does not have a SATA drive already so I will do it some day. I want to see if I can change the RTX 2080 TI with a RTX 5000
I have no idea why but i just love watching jayz videos he is better than linus and many others jay is awesome
Great work Jay! you really sold the 3k rpm noctua fan idea, now i really wanna se it!
Would love to see you update the motherboard to the ROG and take a look at the video card for upgradeability.
Go for it Jay, change the power supply, memory, video card, and motherboard with that 3 phase industrial fan from Noctua.
Jay you’re the man! Way to capitalize on the trolls and show them why you’re the best in the biz!
Great video! Geting that new mobo and Noctua fan in there would be awesome
reminds me of something from borderlands. a cool cell shade paint would look neat and unique
I say go all out bigger PSU, custom cables, motherboard, GPU, M.2 drive come on Jay give us the Super JayzONE !
Strip the anodised finish, use scotch brite to polish the metal, mask on a graphical stencil and acid etch that case.
Paint the case in Lime Green and put a highest RPM with some RGB and do some other stuff like maybe adding more fans???
Corsair One is a beast ! If I would have money, Corsair One is what I would go for.
radiators without fans ??? How is it refrigerated?
You should go with the Corsair SF750 PSU. Keep up the suuuper hard work you do for our entertainment and tech knowledge!!!
Awesome vid Jay! That PC case would look awesome if it had an Iron man theme, just seem like it would fit the atheistic well!
Loved the Rocky reference in the intro
I love the MSI bios. Opinions opinions. I'm just used to it I guess.
You could replace the PSU with a Corsair SF750. Same cables, higher wattage and 80 PLUS Platinum. I have an SF600 in my build and it is pretty phenomenal.
for aesthetics, what about applying some of those weathering skills you're doing on the model ship?
mod it jay, mod it to the max. Build the ultimate on the go gaming/editing machine ! Delid, noctua slim fan for the gpu, liquid metal, z390i, 800w sfx platinium, custom cables, 4tb 2.5 ssd, 3000rpm fan. Sleek and fast
