Id love if you do a sketchbook tour, is so interesting see your evolution and how your form of do the sketch changes across the time! As always the paint turned beautiful 💕
The pen sketch showing through can be to do with the type of ink. You say you use 'ballpoint', but is that a gel style ball point (like a Muji for instance - we don't call those ballpoints, we call them gel pens) or a 'proper' Bic type ballpoint? I've seen you use both, so it might be that in this instance it was the latter. Bic uses oil based ink. No matter how much you cover it up with an opaque medium, it will always lift to the surface over time - sometimes immediately. Hope that's helpful.
I've started sketching in pen after folllowing your videos. My sketches are much freer, and I'm doing a lot more of them. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
Honestly, I really love how you sketch. I love sketches that are loose and they’re just so beautiful. I actually want to sketch more loosely. But it’s just my personal preference, it’s your art so you can sketch how you want, be it loose or more finishes looking (just know whatever you draw and however they still look really pretty)
Pag Japanese brand talaga gumawa ng conceptual sets, sobrang ganda. Usually yung mga sets ng Winsor and Newton at iba pang Western brands halos kalahati waley pero kapag Holbein or Sakura ang gaganda.
It was really satisfying watching you paint those leaves! I really love how many subtle colors you include in the fabric as well, it feels so lively and full of dimension ♥
Loved the vibrancy of the colors in this one--it's magnificent! I learn something every time I watch one of these about painting with gouache. :) Love these sketchbook paint overs, and am so happy to hear how much you love making them.
Acryla gouache is acrylic paint with matte medium basically. While gouache is opaque watercolors. There are more transparent colours in gouache and acryla gouache but this of course can differ between them. For example pastel acryla gouache will be very opaque since it has more white. While in magenta which is normally PV19 or PR122 is more transparent usually in both medium (unless white or other fillers are added) Of course it all boils down to personal preference and painting style. For example with acryla gouache since it doesn’t reactivate you can glaze a more transparent color overtop of the piece without worrying about the lower layers. This technique would be much riskier with regular gouache. While traditional gouache is a bit creamer and painterly, but you do have to keep in mind layering and darks to lights etc., more so then acryla gouache.

I've been eyeing the Irodori Spring edition but watching how Autumn being used in this piece I realized that for landscapes that I usually paint, maybe this set is more suitable and usable for me. STILL gonna wishlist the Spring one, though 😂😂

I havent tried acryla gouache, but i dont see the point of it anyway since its just matt acyrlic paint, think i will just stick to learning how to use normal gouache and fail miserably at it lol

I think that you're right about how the spring and autumn palettes complement one another, it creates a balance.

The way you use traditional gouache is absolutely wonderful. So much movement! The colour palette is lovely too. 🖌🎨👩🎨👍🏻
The way you transition your color without actually blending them is amazing! I need to learn how to do that! 🥺 Amazing painting!
