Can't wait to order mine next month after some reviews. The camera doesn't disappoint me too much and coming from a z fold 2 absolutely everything is a huge upgrade 😂😂
In Florida X Fold cannot be used on Verizon or Att. I had to switch to T-Mobile. T-Mobile is absolutely fine. 5G downloading and 4G voice calls.
Im using X60 Pro+ for 3 years now, with China ROM. Ive got updated to Origin 3 OS with Android 13 last month. So my experience with China ROM has been pretty good. More and more english support for these course of years. Almost bought the Huawei Mate X3 though, feels so nice on hand

I'm gonna buy my first foldable, should I get the Xiaomi Mix fold 2 or the Vivo X fold 2? The xiaomi is 300€ cheaper than the vivo on wonda right now.

An ex Samsung fold 2,3,4 user here, I switched to the xiaomi fold 2 which is an insane upgrade.... Now I've seen this brand I'm going to sit and wait for some reviews I'd like to see a comparison video between vivo and xiaomi fold 2
it was thanks to your videos on the vivo x fold last year that I decided to buy mine and I was super happy because hardware level there is no better it's true. it seems to me that it is the only foldable smartphone that has an external screen that comes closest to a traditional smartphone and that is very cool and in addition there is no space once the smartphone is folded. and when opened the crease in the middle is barely visible and these are barely. I've always loved the vivo brand because they dare to innovate. I have the vivo NEX s, the vivo nex 2 with a screen on the front and a screen on the back but I admit I didn't use it for long but I still have it 😍😍

[edit] I have the X Fold and 5G DOES work on M1 Singapore 5G BUT I have to select Network Path Control to Balance or Do not Control. Otherwise, the phone will drop me down to 4G.
The only thing that attracts me to the X Fold 2 is the new Taskbar which is important if you value multitasking, and the thinner lighter design.
With regards to multitasking, I think Z Fold 3/4 and Surface Duo/2 has the best implementations.
Hopefully, Vivo updates the Origin OS to have Taskbar on the X Fold. I even tried to increase the screen DPI above 600 but no Taskbar at all. So I believe the firmware doesn't have it at all.
And yes, even though I hardly use the 5x periscopic lens due to low pixel count (and low quality), I agree it's a step back but time will tell if users really value it.
Hey there. Wondering if a flash ROM is required? Or can I simply install Google play? Am in love with this but worried about banking apps and singpass etc
So Vivo updated their OS and the taskbar is showing at the bottom for the inner screen. However, it's not consistently shown for third party launcher like Microsoft Launcher.
The Vivo built-in launcher doesn't handle Personal & Work Apps properly so I use my favourite MS Launcher. Too bad it's nothing like the MS Launcher on Surface Duo 2.
I am also disappointed about the lack of the periscope camera, especially because the all thing with vivo is to be the best camera phone, a couple of thing to add though, the main sensor (Imx 866) should be better then the previous Samsung sensor, also now they added the V2 chip, witch does improve significantly the photo quality, particularly in low light, the x fold and x fold plus didn't have even the V1 chip. Still the lack of the periscope camera bothers me, they could not add the 3.5x mounted in the x90 pro plus as is too big of a sensor, but they could at least retain the same 5x or at worst make the telephoto camera 3x
I also feel that they made a little bit of cost cutting, in a therardown video I see that they still use a very small z axis vibration motor, and not an x axis one like the one on the Samsung fold (x axis basically is the same technology as the iphone taptic engine) this is also a shame because I think good haptics improve the quality perception on a smartphone.
Probably they didn't put it because most people doesn't care, same with the periscope camera, most people doesn't care, and they focus on being the first foldable with snapdragon 8gen 2 and make it slimmer and lighter.
This make sense since vivo foldables are actually on the cheaper side compared to the competition...
I'm as disappointed as you when I saw that there was no telescopic sensor on the x fold 2 when it was there last year. on the other hand I saw photo comparisons between the xfold and the x fold 2 and apparently there is an improvement in photography on the X2 especially in night photography and even in general
@@ludotech5623 yes, as I said better main sensor (Wich is by far the most important) and V2 chip with improve a lot the quality of the photos, still they could at least put a 3x telephoto camera instead of 2k if you are gonna ditch the periscope camera...

I bought the vivo x fold plus in January. I use Tmobile in the states. I had a very hard time sending videos on google messages and had issues getting notifcations even with dark mode turned off. Ultimately I decided to sell it but I love the foldables that have the 6'5 inch front screen and 8 inch inner display. I loved the 5 times zoom on the fold plus. I am not sure if I should try again and buy the Mi Mix fold 2 or the vivo x fold 2

I was just going to be vivo x fold 2..but will stick to my vivo x fold 1 after this...tbh... software side still irritating...you get stuff working then after latest software update...same problems.. whatsapp call occasionally work...google maps the google voice icon stopped working.. Google assistant keeps turning off... WhatsApp u cannot reply to messages on notification shade..among other thing...its been a constant battle tbh..hardware side love it apart from weight.. hoping Xiaomi will release a 3 with wireless charging and flex mode and inner display camera....i jus wish a decent global rom phone with all the above.... anyways..thanks bud👍

On your advice I got the Vivo X Fold Plus. And what a beast. Perfect phone. Still some dark mode issues, but so happy with your X fold 2 advice. Don't need to upgrade.

I had an issue with dark mood, too! T-mobile works perfectly fine with 5G. AT&T NEVER works with ViVO. Verizon is a wireless company will never work with GSM SIM card phones

I can't agree that the mate x3 is the best. It's using last gen cpu and gpu. Vivo are great but you're right it's not a big enough upgrade. It'll feel almost exactly the same as using vivo X fold plus. Might get foldable with gen 3 and bigger batteries

i said... in some aspects it's a downgrade, purely referring to the lack of periscope zoom lens.
None of the other specs are a reason to upgrade from the X fold or X fold plus.
Also, battery is same size as X fold+

At 10:16 you literally say it's a step backwards, not specifically relating to the camera lens at that point, but for hardware.
Agree about the upgrading point - It's great that previous models had such good hardware to begin with.
Technically they aren't the same battery size - 4730 vs 4800
I have the Vivo X Note here in the USA, and my carrier is Google Fi. It was a bit finicky at first, but eventually I figured it out. MMS still has problems, and I'm forced to use an older version of Google Fi from the play store.

For the 5G networks here in saudi they are all fine.
I have the x fold (1st version) from wondamobile last year and it is ok.
Hope we have really high features of upgrade like vivo partnership with B&O, B&W, BOSE, Sennheiser... for a better Dolby sound system, better lenses over 100MP, battery really dying fast so we need 5500mah and some awesome colors like red, orange on crystal sapphire glass rather than leather.
Ofcourse, hope it has water resistant so we can merge in the sea/ocean taking awesome photos.

The Vivo Fold+ is far superior. The HONOR is good but the Vivo is great!

Both have the IR blaster and i am positive someone in the chat can sell you a used X Fold. For a new one, Wonda is your best bet but email them for a discount as the new model has come out.
How is the tecno phantom v fold? it has better cameras no+Cheaper but vivo x fold i like the Design way more

I am selling my vivo x fold for €1400, it has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory. it is black in color with a gray woven stripe on the back. it is like new it has always stayed inside my house and stored in a pouch there are no scratches on the front screen because it still has the factory protective film and it does not there are no scratches on the inner screen. last year I bought it for €1886
Hey, as in 1400 euros?... the new X Fold 2 is only 1550 euros so you will never get that for it sir.

If you use a galaxy watch, make sure you are aware it won't work due to region restrictions
If your located In the USA don’t do that! ViVO will have so many issues working with US/google services

Oh very true, I bought one, and had some issues. Microsoft app didn’t properly worked on it. I couldn’t get any smart watch to sync. They always disconnected, and I’m not talking about Samsung or apple smart watches. I’ve used tech watch, fossils smart watches, AirPod had really poor sounds and no noise cancellation
Yeah stupid move that they removed the periscope 5x optical zoom. I have the Vivo X Fold for 1 year now. Will upgrade to the Plus when i find it for a nice price. Going to skip the Vivo X Fold 2.
Ikr but if I would have Vivo X Fold+ in red I wouldn't upgraded to Vivo X Fold 2. I came to realize that none of these companies going to give us the prefect phone. But right now I would say Vivo does a pretty good job.

ok i bought the vivo x fold 2 last tuesday and am trying to resell my vivo x fold to make up the price. I bought it on the Giztop site where it was clearly mentioned that there was indeed the French language and all updates will be made. I hope that we can always change the application launcher like on the vivo X-fold. on my vivo x fold I had put the Nova launcher application launcher my favorite application launcher and it worked very well. 🤞🤞
