Not really. If you are using QGIS in Conda it's a separate installation that doesn't include GRASS and SAGA. Your other installation that you used before should still be the same. Not sure if you use windows, linux or mac. If you use windows use the OSGeo4W installer to install PCRaster. See related video on my channel.
@@HansvanderKwast i am using windows. im sorry but this is unclear when saying i must find a video to use OSGeo4W installer when the title of the video is "Install the PCRaster, SAGA and GRASS tools for QGIS with the OSGeo4W installer".
@@HansvanderKwast OK the video i am commenting on is the one you are directing me to! i have done the steps one by one off this video and the result its no grass no saga and pcraster will not work at all.
In the app I can't see the video you're commenting. Not at my computer now. Probably it is that the Setup is not related to the QGIS installation that you start after running the Setup. 1. In Windows Start menu click right on the QGIS Desktop item that you click to start it. 2. Choos something like Open Location. 3. Run the Setup that you find there to update your QGIS installation. The other one you have used before has created a new QGIS installations. Anyways. Messed up now.
Hans, thank you for your work. I encountered an error recently in the LDDCreate tool. I have been forced to fill sinks with another tool before I was able to then convert to PC Raster Format and then create the flowdirection. In your book you show that the LDDCreate does both but when attempted QGIS crashes. These drainage areas I am working with are less than 10,000 acres. Just informing you and perhaps you have a fix. - Rachael
The lddcreate tool in your case still did both. So you basically applied the fill sinks step twice. I'm not sure what causes the challenge with using lddcreate the first time. What was the error message? Also it's fine to use other fill sinks algorithms, but then it's also probably better to continue the workflow with the other tool set. Check this video for more information about tools and workflows: ruclips.net/video/s57P3GZTOTA/видео.html
@ thank you. I’ll check that out. There was no reported error, QGIS just crashed. I did this for three separate catchments and all attempts resulted in a crash. I had to force stop the program, close, and restart. Hope this is helpful.
Hello to my dear teacher, Mr. Hans Van der Kwast. I have a question about PCraster: after installing the pcraster plugin on version 3.28, I installed the newer version of QGIS on version 3.28, but now the tools icon in PCraster does not work. Thank you for your guidance in this regard. Do I need to completely clean and reinstall Windows? with the best wishes.
Not needed to reinstall. Just reinstall the plugin. If it still doesn't work, check the log panel if you can find an error there. Maybe it's related to github.com/jvdkwast/qgis-processing-pcraster/issues/59 which has been fixed, but probably is available in the next PCRaster release.
I'm missing tools for SAGA. Catchment for instance... why do I have partial tools for GRASS? I've run the installer. I clicked on setup and made sure I checked all that you had checked. Please Help
Make sure that the setup is from the same version that you start. You might have multiple versions of QGIS with their own OSGeo4W installer. If you click right on the QGIS Destop icon in the start menu you can open the folder to see which OSGeo4W installer is there and use that one.
why does mine says "unable to extract /apps/grass/grass78/AUTHORS--the file is in use. Please stop all OSGeo4W processes and select "Retry" or select Continue...." :((
what's wrong with PCRaster must be installed and available in the current Python environment before the PCRaster algorithms can be used. Please see the plugin documentation for further details on how to install PCRaster.
If you've followed the instructions in this video and you use the QGIS version linked to the OSGeo4W installer that you've used, PCRaster should have been installed. If not, check (1) if you have installed the PCRaster package with the OSGeo4W installer, and (2) if the OSGeo4W installer is the one for the QGIS installation that you use. If you have multiple installations they can have different OSGeo4W installers. You can find out by going to the Windows Start menu, click right on the QGIS Desktop that you normally use, go to the folder and use the OSGeo4W setup in that folder.
I m very grateful for all your videos sir , you just give me solutions for every problem i face while learning Qgis online , thank you sir
Thank you for the informative video sir!
Thanks, that helped a lot
PCRaster library is not available
Followed Steps exactly! and now along with not having pcraster tool i have lost saga and grass.

@rachaelcooper267 If QGIS doesn't show the crashed screen, it was probably still calculating and taking time.

hi! what windows version do you have?
I'm currently using Windows 11. It should also work on Windows 10.

Maybe it can't connect to the internet? I've seen that yesterday with some participants in a class room with poor wifi.
