The great thing about YourTube is that I'm learning about all these incredible trumpeters and other musicians, whose names I haven't heard before. All through YourTube. My fave trumpeters that I've come to hear about recently: Ingrid Jensen, Tine "Thing" Helseth, and Alison Balsom. All 3 extraordinarily talented, all three very kissable, and all three have those thin pretty lips that I love on a woman. All on YourTube.
We share the exact same favorite trumpeters except that I would add Wynton. All of those she mentioned are THE jazz trumpeters of all time. That's so cool! I like her playing.
You can take lessons with Rapa for $200 you get four 1 hour lessons with him and the first one is an hour and a half. Its online though through skype. At any rate Adam Rapa rules and our trumpet studio at Mansfield University had a session with Ingrid Jenson once She is amazing and great with improv. Great sound on both players.
Aww... C'mon, now; Maynard pioneered the upper-register stuff, and, of course, he's dead. Nevertheless, he did have some, uh, "technical issues". Bergeron, on the other hand, is pretty clean up there. Once upon a time, I was a trumpet player...but the only "clams" in my life were all of the "bearded" variety. ;-)
@DancingSpiderman ...and "THING" is a rather unfortunate middle name for a pretty girl. Of course, for a trumpet player, the absolute WORST middle name would be CLAM. "Alison CLAM Balsom" Come to think of it, the only person that would fit with would be "Maynard CLAM Ferguson".
