Is this feature included in s24 series every model?
The live translate feature will be handy when traveling abroad or for everyday use! Being able to use it with a landline caller is a bonus. Thanks Samsung!
google translate has the converation mode which you can use while travelling, since 2018 at least. But for live calls, having this feature is amazing ! especially if having co-workers from different native languages/countries
@@sidundead13 live call translate will become handy when the other side speaks in a form of 30sec delay which is not practical, for example a person would say a sentence and has to wait for the translation depending on the network to translate, Just a gimic feature to exaggerate.
I'm headed to Europe, I need this fr, I've never been a Samsung fan but this might make me get an ultra 24, breaking language barrier has always been a problem for me, this could fix everything
@@Roccinante you can even use the Google translate in conversation mode. I used it way back in 2018 on a trip to china to converse with locals.
@@sidundead13 I know but I want it in live call mode, calling local restaurants to make a reservation, government departments that don't speak English in Europe, stores and people is a game changer for me. Other times I traveled, I had to give my phone to the locals to speak with the department I'm calling because I could not speak the language, Samsung is leading and I hope other phone manufacturers add this feature too.
I don't know how the use of this function will be, given signal interference and the variety of people's speech. But it's always fantastic to see technological advancements
As long as both parties pronounce everything right there shouldn't be a problem like with out slang 😂
Its working pretty well, you just need to say it a bit slow and not rush it.
How about doing it without being in a call? It is more likely you will stop a person and ask them something, then call them.

@@manuelfernandezdiaz179 I bought one and yes it works great. All you do is drag the quick menu down from the top and there you will find "interpreter" and it works great

You can use Google live translate for that

Which can be done with machine learning and data inputs but would take time
@@BlazeDJ18 You literally only need 30 seconds. There are websites that can do TTS with your voice after 30 seconds of training data. They can also translate any video of you into another language, and keep your lips in sync. But it runs in the cloud, so the smartphone might be underpowered to do this in real time. "HeyGen" for instance
@@BlazeDJ18 No, in fact you can already create your custom voice using just a few recordings, so far for in English and Korean. It's available in Bixby settings.

For this moment those features are only on samsung galaxy s24

I'm buying this phone so I can use it in Slovakia. Barely speak slovak, so having the phone call translate to portuguese will be great!
There are only a few languages available.
I hope it's not like bixby. Only a few languages and not my native language so I am going to and see more reviews in the future.

This feature is bugged. The option doesn't show up on the keyboard even though i have the setting on. I've seen many reports of this.

Only if you set contacts' country so when you get a call from one of them, it will set their own language

I saw an interpretor function/app, where you can translate between to people without a phonecall just by talking into the mobile.

I’m still waiting for a feature similar to like voice isolation. I work on a very noisy environment and with the iPhone 14 Pro Max that feature make a huge difference
What's this feature about. Can you elaborate on it more?
@@Dubai892JK iPhone have this feature that you can change your mic mode for calls like (standard, isolation and wide spectrum). Samsung supposed to be working on something similar like (Voice Focus) that can eliminate the background noise from my side so people can hear me clear some Samsung devices have it already but not Galaxy Ultra. Pixels already have something similar like (Clear Calling)
It does have it, at least from what I saw on a few videos. Called “voice focus”
it does have that, pull action center then click microphone, choose voice focus
@xapocalypse5548 thanks i no have idea about that i buy the s24 ultra. but still only work with the internal mic is not available for Bluetooth devices on iPhone i can use my airpods and i still have voice isolation

The Galaxy S Ultra is a good phone however, it would be the best all around if Samsung adds Fast charging technology and the Multi User feature otherwise it's meaningless to buy an expensive smartphone and NOT having such features!

It would be a great feature if they ommit the "hello, this call is being translated by Live translate" at the beginning of the call as that makes it akward. I imagine the other person on the phone may be confused or find it uneasy since it makes the idea that they are being recorded and/or not talking to a real person. They may just end the call.
I think it's a pretty smart idea given they are about to have a conversation with a robot voice with weird latency and delays. Much better to warn them immediately
