- Thousands more civilians have fled Russia’s renewed ground offensive in Ukraine’s northeast that has targeted towns and villages with a barrage of artillery and mortar fire. By Sunday afternoon, the town of Vovchansk, with a prewar population of 17,000, emerged as a focal point in the battle, with regional officials saying Russian forces were in the outskirts of the town and approaching from three directions. Not really, ukraine can inflict alot of casualties, but they're running out of men and boys to fight at an alarming pace, while russia just keeps rotating divisions, it's a grinding war of attrition that Ukraine never had a chance of winning.
