  • After spending some some in the small city of Orange, I was keen to return to where I feel most at home. The calm tranquil places in nature, away from modern society. Through thick fog and freezing rain, join me one of my most interesting hikes yet, as I navigate to the summit of Mount Canobolas (1,397m / 4,583 ft) and get set up to camp the night at the beautiful Federal Falls Campground.

I'd like to see that mountain in sunshine and with all.its views to survey it's surroundings..
You are brave to hike in that condition.

Thank you for the interesting and educational tour, under less than optimal conditions. You are dedicated! I once booked a weekend in late spring at a mountaintop lodge (accessible by road) in Arkansas that has spectacular views. There was so much fog all weekend that the visibility was only about 20 feet. It wasn't even possible to see to the parking from the door of the lodge.

I agree! Hiking in the much cooler, even wet weather, is much more favorable than the heat. Love love love your about info. :)
